That title sounded fun and apt. A little goofy, but don't we all reside in a light state of childlike euphoria since somehow good returned to our reality, and it was so direct and without serious tug-o-war. Somewhat similiar to the nostalgia of when your parents deliveried Xmas (my family celebrated Malcolm X day) presents or Tooth fairy money while you stayed up to catch them. I mean, if this is "them" pacifying the masses, well done. And if its just things working the way we learned in government classes senior year, then I wasted so many nights my early years of college waxing conspiracy with other too sure youth.
It was funny, because we knew a week before, that he would win. Everything said so. But we held our breath, "not 2004 again!" And then it just happened like they said it would. Votes came in, red states stayed red, some went purple, others bright blue. Numbers kept climbing. McCain's headshot got grumpier and grumpier. And then when I got out of the 2nd ave station at 11pm the streets begin to vibrate with car horns and cheering. It was real, no catch, America like we had been spoon fed all our lives and suddenly it tasted good again. Personally the only time I've ever been this ecstatic was when I got on TV last year.
I'm a hopeless sissy when it comes to goodtimes, I'll finish this later.
