Hi everybody...Tony here.  I hope this message finds you well. Some of you have asked what the IFD are collectively up to as of late and I thought I'd send an update to everyone.

One of the main things Samantha and I are actively engaged in is developing our new label Color Wheel Records.  We've "signed" our first band, Violet Vector and the Lovely Lovlies, out of Charlotte, NC.  These kids make a brilliant noise in the psych-pop vein of things and, from what we've heard from their soon to be completed 2nd EP, there's even better things on the way!  Look for this release in the Spring.

Another label related thing we doing right now is putting together a compilation with some of our favorite local and not-so-local bands that we're friends with.  There will be color-based themes for the songs associated with each "side" of the release that coincides with the Color Wheel imagery.

Other stuff...we were recently ranked #8 on the excellent psych blog Trip Inside This House's top 50 of 2008 list!  AND at #14 on Jack Rabid's Top 50 of 2008 in Issue 62 of the Big Takeover
Finally, the IFD is starting to work on new songs AND we have the basis for a live band put together again after a brief hiatus.  SO, that means look out for the IFD at your favorite venue in 2009!  We're itching to take our stuff to your town.

Hope all is well,
Tony
Color Wheel Records

That Jack Rabid is one heck of a guy! Let's send him a fruit basket!
