Let me start this blog by saying that Mass Ska Raid last night was absolutely incredible! That was hands down the most fun we have EVER had on stage playing.  Really.  The crowd was great, the energy was great and there was an all around fun vibe.  I honestly think that 50:50 Shot fans are the best fans in the world.  There had to have been over 40 people on stage by the end of our set last night.  It was great seeing so many people into our music.

Now on to the good news... we are NOT breaking up! After we lost our lead singer/guitarist, we were pretty down in the dumps and thought we had to break up.  We spitballed with some ideas of starting a new band and other nonsense, but when it came down to it, we love this band too much to let it die.  50:50 Shot is the only successful band I have ever been in.  We have all put so much time, effort and emotion into this band.  To let it die would be a nightmare. Not to mention, we still have over $1,500 in 50:50 Shot merch.

We will be back on November 21st.  That night we will be playing the Ska is Dead show at the Masquerade with The Toasters, Mustard Plug, Voodoo Glow Skulls and Deals Gone Bad.  But until then, we have a LOT of work to do. We are going to need at least 2 new members before we can start playing shows again.  We need a singer, guitarist, horn players and hell, why not a keyboard player?  If you can play multiple instruments, that makes you that much more useful! To join, we ask you to have these things:

-your own gear
-be able to practice twice a week
-be able to play a minimum of 3 shows a month
-go on 3-10 day tours two or three times a year
-have experience writing music
-HAVE A GREAT ATTITUDE!
-no quitters allowed

I hope everyone is as excited as we are to have this band back. From the looks of it, everybody was thrilled to hear this announcement last night.  We will start auditioning members in a couple of weeks.  Please write to us if you wanna try out!
