50:50 Shot finally has the wheels turning again.  It is good to be practicing and writing new music.  Since Mass Ska Raid, we have been practicing to tighten up our set and are finishing up a brand new song.  It's really encouraging to be able to come back after breaking up (for two seconds) and be able to start writing again.  For a long time, we stayed stagnant with writing music.  We went from February 2008 to September 2009 without writing a song (excluding "Let's Go Get Some Vag".  That song is awesome)

But with this, expect us to start slowly dropping some old songs from our set.  For the past year and a half, all we have done is teach new members the songs.  It gets REALLY old.  So the only way to keep me and everyone else happy is to put out new material.  Now, we will always still play Respek and Lobster Girl, so don't worry about that.  But as we finish songs, we will be taking out one old song each time.

It will still be 50:50 Shot.  The stuff we are working on is similar to the stuff we have been releasing.  You may not be familiar with it right off the bat, but you will.  We are going to go full speed ahead with playing shows and writing.  New songs=new CD, right?

Tour plans:
This winter, we will be doing a 3 day Florida trip with our BFFs Turbo Slaughter (by the way, if you don't know them then you should look them up.... seriously).  Check our calendar for dates and details.  After that, we will be playing some local shows in Georgia in December/January, including Athens, Atlanta, Villa Rica.  We will be doing frequent weekend trips to Tennessee, playing in Nashville, Knoxville, Johnson City and Chattanooga.  We will find a way to throw Asheville, NC and Columbia, SC in there somewhere, but I haven't worked out the details in my head yet. And finally, this summer we will be going north for over a week. 

Our members line-up is pretty stable right now.  We are still in need of a trumpet, and another solid trombone player.  I miss having a 4-piece horn section.  So if you are interested in playing some shows, hit us up via myspace.

SKA IS DEAD @ The Masquerade:
We are playing a show at the Masquerade on November 21st with some legendary ska bands: The Toasters, Mustard Plug, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Deals Gone Bad. Also: The Taj Motel Trio, Fatter Than Albert, The Independents, and Dead Like Lincoln.  We have tickets for presale, only $15.  It will be $20+ elsewhere, so let us know first!  This is scheduled to be our comeback show, so we need all the 50:50 fans to come out and celebrate.
