Current mood:  hopeful
I was at a friends get together tonight, and they started playing my album. Everyone was so responsive, and I met fans that I didn't know I had. It was pretty neat. There was one guy in particular, who started talking to me about my music. He was an older guy who really appreciates real music. He was talking to me about my destiny, but I don't think that he really knew that at the time. He was saying how I'm probably a threat to most labels, because how can they sign someone real....when they have all of these bubble gum artists. Anyway, this guy was just going on and on and he said: "You just need to keep doing shows so that more people can hear you". I was like yeah, I need to start doing more. Then I was saying that if I had a bigger budget, I would want to do a few things differently on my next album. I would love to have live strings, and percussion, and all of that good stuff....all of that just costs so much money! Then he said again "You just need to keep singing, and then people will hear you, and they will buy your album, and as the buzz keeps growing, then people (labels, and distrubution companies) will come and find you and give you what you want...cause they'll need you!... and Budget will happen!" www.shamora.com

Real music is exactly what this is! Your lyrics have helped me through some stuff!! I appreciate that you're trying to speak your mind rather than just having a hit.

I've always wondered why radio stations wont step out of the box and play other artists music. The way things are in this world we need to hear more artist like you-Shamora- on the radios. Artists that sing about REAL stuff, situations we face everyday. Its not about how many cars you drive or how many woman or men you screw or how you'll beat a (im not going to say those words) behind and how much weight you push...For get that. I could see if they were saying they use to do that but now their life style has changed and then they tell people what they did to change, but they dont do that. I know the posted date of this blog says that its old but i'm a fan and its new news to me.
Cant wait to hear you on v103, 100.5, hot107.9, 102.5, 107.5, 97.5, 95.5 the beat and all the other radio stations.
