Your beloved Bangers and Mash is blowing away local bars and, as you can see by checking out the schedule, is booked pretty solid through the rest of 2009. We're pushing our original material, which has been received very well by audiences of all ages and persuasions. Our REALLY new stuff--"Irish Airman," "You Know the Words," "(I'm) Her Banger Boy," "The Last Rebel," "Quicksand Cafe," "I Won't Stand in Your Way," "I Will Not Falter," "She Don't Give a Damn," and "Irish Amerikay"--has crowds singing and dancing along like they've been listening to these songs forever. It's truly awesome. As you can tell, we have enough tracks to fill another CD. Speaking of which...
Our first full-length CD is ever so close to finding its way into your players. I am so looking forward to that day, Bammers. It's been a long time coming.
We're fitting a practice in this weekend, which is rare for us; and we plan on adding the final pieces to a set list that's going to be out of this world. Throughout our repertoire, we've fused Irish sentimentality with American rock sensibility and, in that, have created something completely Bangers and Mash--as if you don't already know! A new sea chanty is on its way. It's got a traditional feel, but its flavor--lyrically, anyway--is BAM at its most irreverent; you know, something like a little ditty about an alpaca. You'll have to hear it to believe it. It'll have you saying, "Say what?"
We hope to see you at Senix this Friday. This Saturday, BAM will be tearing up the AOH Div. 2 at its annual summer bash. That'll bring August to a close for us. September brings a Celtcly Insane month of Halfway to St. Patty's parties. Check the schedule: it's all about the BAM!
See you soon,
Scott
