ROCKFORD, ILLINOIS-HOME OF THE ROCKFORD PEACHES (OCTOBER 24-27)

DEPICTED IN THE FILM, "A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN", Rockford, home of the Rockford Peaches was one of the first teams to be named in the formation of the League which began in 1943 with 4 teams. Do you remember the two teams that played in the final play-off in the film? The Rockford Peaches was one of the two teams highlighted in the story. You will have to see the film again if you can't remember the other team or come to our reunion and ask the real players who will be there celbrating their 53rd year since the League disbanded.

2007 will be the first time the reunion has been in Rockford and for some of the former players, the first time they have been back to Rockford in 53 years. This Reunion is a homecoming for some of these players and promises to be a gala event. An exhibit featuring the Peaches will be on display at the Rockford Midway Village & Museum Center. There will be time for autographs at this event.
