Before I start with my recap, I would just like to thank everyone who came up to me over the course of 5 days and said such kind words about In The Zone radio and how much they love the show.  Ryan and I really appreciate all the positive feedback from our listeners and it means a lot to hear it from you guys, in person especially.  And thank you to all my dear friends whom I hung out with during GHFCW, you are all the greatest bunch of peeps that I know!

Okay, so this fan club weekend was a long time coming.  As many know I was part of the organizing and planning committee for the Girl's Night Out Party with Kent King & Minae Noji.  We spent 8 months on the planning and it was finally time to make it all happen.

My trip started at 3:30am on Wednesday morning as I had a car come pick me up at my house and drive me to the airport.  My flight took off about 15 minutes behind schedule but still okay,  I had about 45 minutes to catch the next flight from Phoenix to Burbank.  I met up with a friend of mine in Phoenix and we flew to Burbank together, meeting up with friends once we landed.  We grabbed a cab and headed to the Sportsmen's Lodge, about a 20 minute drive from the airport.

Being I was up at 3:30am that morning and not getting much sleep, I was exhausted from traveling.  While the others went out to dinner, I stayed back and caught up on some sleep.  Thursday was going to be a huge day and I needed to re-fuel.

Thursday morning arrived and there was lots to do before the big night and Girl's Night Out.  I recruited a few friends to help me assemble some of the goodie bags and we got to work on 96 bags for all the guests who were attending the event.  We had a great turnout and everyone had an awesome time.  The event was the talk of the weekend.

I had only planned on 5 events this year, I wanted to keep a very light schedule.  So I had Friday, Saturday and most of Sunday and Monday free.  After the GNO party on Thursday night, it seemed to have kicked off some drama, but at that point of the weekend, nothing was going to burst my bubble or drag me down off my cloud 9 high.  The GNO party was a huge success.

On Saturday afternoon, I was fortunate to meet JP!  Can I just say, JP is amazing!  JP hit it off with everyone in the group and got to meet a couple actors from GH as a bonus.  Being that I had no events to attend on Fri, Sat, and most of Sun and Mon, we spent a lot of time, poolside, and til the sun came up on a few nights.  LOL!

Sunday was Tyler Christopher's event and the Past Cast event.  I was not impressed with the Past Cast event, although I was only there to see one person and that was Chad Brannon (Ex Zander Smith).  Tyler Christopher's event was great!  He and Sheri, his fan club prez put on a wonderful event every year.  Two friends and myself won a GH set tour with Tyler, scheduled for next year during GHFCW 2009.

The drama continued throughout the weekend, and still reveling in the knowledge that the GNO party was THE event of the weekend, I didn't let all the drama get me down.  Monday was Sebastian's event, and at this point, I had no desire to go to the event, and I didn't.  I spent my Monday with JP and my friends poolside for most of the day.  We ended up going to Universal Citywalk for an hour or so before heading back to the Lodge for dinner.

By Monday night I was ready to go home.  It was a long weekend, and one weekend that comes but once a year.  Michy and I boarded a plane for Phoenix at 12:30pm, when we landed in Phoenix, my next stop was Philadelphia.  We said our goodbyes and I continued on to Philadelphia.  The plane landed in Philly and I texted Ryan to let him know I made it back to Philly.  On my way home, I had company via cell phone, which was so nice.  I missed all you guys, so thank you for the drive home conversation.  It was very welcomed.

I had a blast in LA and I cannot wait to do it all again next year!  Hopefully my co-host Ryan will be able to join me and experience the fun for himself.

Hey there!

Looks like you had quite a blast at GHFCW. I had a great time too. I only went to one event though, & that was Brandon's. That was an absolute blast. He & Sarah were both sweet hearts. I love the great pics you got. I know I'd like to see more if you have them.:-)
