The pile of foils made me comfortable... I thought my highlights were getting punched up by my friend Lydia the hair color genie, but two and a half hours later I emerged with yellow hair.  All yellow.  Halfway to platinum.  In six weeks my hair will become platinum... 
 
If she wd have asked me if I wanted my hair entirely bleached blonde, I wd have said no.  A serious Marilyn Monroe fan since early childhood, I have wanted to go platinum since I was a teen, yet never did.  So, I'm really glad she did what she did, but wonder why I cdn't just have down it on my own. 

The next day my friend Julia who is down to a size 2 cleaned out 10 years worth of size 6 clothes on me.  Oranges, plums, sheers, laces, peplums, dresses, designer pieces...  The kind of bold clothes I used to wear in my teens and 20s before I got married. 

But when I moved out abruptly in May 2009 I became separated from my clothes.

In the two years I have been doing stand up, which I never wd have thought to do either (a fellow writer challenged me to do it),  I have written and performed hours worth of material, much of it niche material, for writers, for rehabs... refined very little of it and memorized almost none of it. 

In July 2009, my life is in transition, and I have lost my desire to do confessional stand up.  I did enjoy the experience at the time, but I do regret revealing so much of my life on stage.
