Please do yourself a favor and see this new work of art starring the magnificently talented GENIUS and my new favorite actor, Will Smith. I actually cannot even put into words how insanely talented this man is. Like absolutely fucking brilliant. Hands down GENIUS.

Ok so please see this film.

Its been forever since I can remember being affected like this by a film. It seems kind of chick flicky and strangey maybe even a little lifetime movie slow in certain parts - can't decide if that's because I was watching it on my laptop(yes i have a screener copy from a friend) because my DVD player just died or it just is, either way stick it through and the payoff is just brilliant.

I have this thing tho.

It can be a wonderful thing and also a kind of horrible thing. Sometimes I get so involved when I watch movies that I can't separate myself from the characters. Like it made me think of alot of things about life. things i should do... try to be a better person.. embrace love.. and appreciate the people i have in my life who i love. all these things. I plunge so deeply into the characters that I can't just be like "Ferras, you are not these people. This is not your life." But I guess thats a good story or movie or acting job or whatever when you identify with what's going on so deeply because on some level that type of movie speaks to all of us, to the very basic innermosthuman thoughts and feelings. I just feel so deeply i guess that watching a movie like this always has to be followed by something disney haha.

Anyway, thanks for letting me unload my feelings into your world. If you understood any of that, great. If not, I understand that too. I'm being cryptic because I don't wanna give the film away AND that's just how i talk as well.

PS- WILL S- I want a percentage of box office from the time this went off. Im sending like tons of people to your movie bro.

Oh, and one little thing.

Whenever your finished reading this, think about one person in your life, that you love so deeply but maybe you don't find time for them, or take them for granted, or whatever. Make a plan to do something cooll for them as a surpise and make them feel loved and appreciated and special.

I'm going to.

Luv u guys.

Night.

One word for that blog, WOW!
That was very touching and it brought tears to my eyes just reading it.
I have wanted to see this movie since the first time i laid eyes on the previews and now i wanna go see it that much more.
I loved reading your personal experience as you were watching the movie.
Thanks for sharing.
And i just want you let you know just how inspiring you really are.
You've really made me think about a lot this morning.
Life, love, people in my life who go unappreciated, what i should do to better myself and what i can do to become the person that i want to be.
You're truly amazing.
Thanks for the inspiration!!!

Goodnight!

With Love & Appreciation,

Jessica Nicole Gilliam

I am so happy to see that this movie affected someone else the way that it did me. I actually blogged about it earlier today as well. Check out mine if you want, its titled, "Opinionated". Alot of the people I was raving about this film to, were just saying, "well these websites panned it and these critics called it too melodramatic..." and so I really love that you understood the artistic measures of it and message as much as I did. Its always great when someone else gets something that you feel. Talk to you soon.

I feel this way about all my favorite movies. I feel you are lucky if a film can effect you in this way, especially when there are so many films out that try to empty your mind instead of fill it. I keep seeing previews for this film and I say "damn that looks good but WHAT the heck is it about?" Can someone give me just a little more insight on the film?

I saw this movie yesterday afternoon. I thought it was all over the place and predicted the end way before it came. I didn't cry but thought it was interesting. I don't understand why its called Seven Pounds though.

Okay.
One: "I just feel so deeply i guess that watching a movie like this always has to be followed by something disney..." Agreed!!! Every time I watch a movie that goes over my head, or is like, "waohhhh", I follow it with Madagascar. I highly suggest it =D

Two:
What if the one person you love most in live isn't really in your life anymore? Not because they died, but because we realized that we...well, I don't know. But we aren't friends and we don't talk and haven't for like, four years. Yet for some reason, I care about him more than I care about a lot of other people...and that's weird. Would a christmas card do??

That's even what i meant as well. like if someone isn't in your life anymore but you still care about them despite what may have happened or when you think about them your like, wow, i love this person so much - its worth letting them know. i dunno. send the christmas card. xo

I do that with books. It's ok. I understand how it can be horrible, yet the most amazing at the same time. Oh how I love paradoxes. Anyway, I was on the fence about wether or not to see the movie or not, but it sounds like I need to. Thanks.

I actually saw it yesterday and it was incredible! I completely understand about not being able to separate myself from the characters. It's very strange. I was very affected emotionally by this movie. I know it's just a movie but sometimes I wonder why I can go the extra mile. Maybe I'm too selfish or to scared. Okay, bye...great blog. :)

I'll even see it twice if you promise to come to NYC for a concert. Joe's Pub is a great venue and so is The Bowery Ballroom. We'd be lucky to have you, especially if you perform Rush. See you soon!

Carrie Lynn Is Pro Pitbull & Anti Vick

I have been dying to see that movie since I saw the promos. I agree, Will Smith's talent knows no boundaries. Who would have thought, The Fresh Price Of Bel Air would grow up to be such a strong leading actor. I am still dying to see his other dramatic film, "The Pursuit Of Happyness" that he starred in with his son, Jaden.

Hey Ferras,
I agree with you that Will Smith is an amazing actor; he is a very grounded and down to earth person as well. I wasnt sure if I wanted to see the movie just because of the trailer, but if you say it is deep, then maybe I will. See, you are selling the movie for him. Send some royalties Ferras' way!!

Love ya,
Hugs,
Keri

I saw the movie a few weeks ago in a preview. It shook me like few movies have ever done. I am as well reccomending it to all my friends.

I said the same thing to my friends that it might seem as if it's moving along slowly. But everyone involved in the film from the actors to the person who scored the film to directors and the people who were in charge of scouting locations made it so that it didn't matter. I felt throughout the whole film as if I was involved in their lives and part of them.

It really makes you realize how much would you be willing to do to help the person you love, or even a person you do not know.

I think the hardest part for me was to ask myself afterwards "How would it feel to look into the eyes of the man you love (or woman you love) and not be looking at that person?"

If you haven't seen the film you really need to and then you'll understand what I mean by that. I cried for a whole week afterwards. IT really really affected me. I would wake up with visions of me going on with my life knowing that every breath I take is because of the man who loves me who can no longer do so.

It is a pretty intense movie and the ending just is beyond anything I could have imagined it to be.

Thanks for the blog, my boyfriend wrote something very similar about Slumdog Millionaire, GO SEE THAT TOO! I actually came to your page because of your "mood status" to see what city you're in, you're local so I have to share- The best Thai food EVER is at Pam's Kitchen in Venice. Glass noodle soup is the best soup you'll ever have, have Pad Thai spicy... INCREDIBLE!!! Take care & sorry for not helping with your ny resolution & perhaps making od'ing happen more often, lucky for you, it requires no meetings ;)
