Orquesta Bravo! to Urbana's Sweetcorn Festival!!

Indianapolis, IN – August 11, 2008– 'Best of Indy' salsa band Orquesta Bravo! has been invited to participate in the 33rd Annual Urbana Sweetcorn Festival in Urbana, Illinois.  On Saturday, August 23, 2008, beginning at 5:30 p.m., Orquesta Bravo! will perform its hot and sultry sounds as the representative of Latin music in Indianapolis and its growing Hispanic community.  Salsa lessons and exhibition immediately before by iSalsa2, a University of Illinois student organization dedicated to promoting salsa dancing to the local student community.  Admission free.

Orquesta Bravo! is honored to be part of this event which is presented by the businesses and residents of Urbana, Illinois. The Sweetcorn Festival in downtown Urbana is Champaign County's oldest and largest festival.  For over a quarter century the Urbana Sweetcorn Festival has brought thousands of friends, families, entertainers and vendors together on Main Street to share in the best that traditional, small town America has to offer.  The Sweetcorn Festival is organized by the Urbana Business Association.  Orquesta Bravo! is looking forward to tasting the sweet corn of the region and adding its special brand of "salsa" to enhance the flavor!

Orquesta Bravo! continues with its successful musical voyage.  2007 was an exciting musical year for Orquesta Bravo! and it is continuing with that momentum and energy into what it has called its 'Great in '08' season.  Orquesta Bravo! will continue to strive to be the best Latin musical representative of Indiana.  Under the leadership of Stacie Kidwell (Sandoval on stage), the group will continue to solidify their music, expand their repertoire and intensify their entertainment.  As always, the group is comprised of the best and most professional musicians Indiana has to offer.  Ms. Kidwell is the owner of the local real estate firm, Home Free Realty, LLC.  Ms. Kidwell also had a hand in creating the Stacie Sandoval Tropical Jazztet, a smaller group performing jazz standards and boleros and featuring local icon Ken Fary on the piano, and, more recently, the Latin Pop trio, ConPaz.

Orquesta Bravo! can be reached through its website at www.orquestabravo.com or by calling (317) 450-0310.  The Sweetcorn Festival can be reached through the UBA's website www.urbanabusiness.com, or by calling (217) 344-4872.
