I'm going to start from the very beginning...actually let me preface this with the following:
"We're gonna hit the car! We're gonna hit the car. We're gonna hit the car!
Now I'm ready to start from the beginning. It's Friday around noon time and Zili is at yet another show trying to share a bit of energy with the world at Mass Bay Community College...and by the way, those people can dance. We say "see ya later" to each other, and we speak literally when we say this.
It's now 9:30...still Firiday...time to load in at the Beehive and play a four-hour set. Tiring, nonetheless, rewarding. The Beehive is no joke I tell you, no joke at all (...am I laughing?) We split our separate ways and say, once again "see ya later"...and once again it is no lie.
It's now Saturday and we are headed to this wonderful joint named "The Shrine". It's now 10:30 pm, we set up we rock out (seriously!) and pack up for our four hour drive back to Boston. It's now 1:45 am and the pretty snow grabs my attention. I remember screaming "YEAH IT"S SNOWING YUPPPPPYYYYYY!! If I had known what was to come I think I would have been a little less happy about the snow.
It is now 2:30 am and the usual four hour drive from New York to Boston has so far extended itself due to the lack of plowmen awake at this time of morning. "Ok", we say to ourselves, "we can DO this!"
Now it's closer to 3 am and the "WE CAN DO THIS" is slowly fading. Lexi, driving as best she can in the snow with a serious truck and equipment, slams on her brakes and Taz follows suit.
"Well, it was a miracle we didn't hit Kera's car... but what is that object that keeps getting closer to us... or it could be us getting closer to it!?" we all think.
Taz's right foot was hard at work for the next few seconds because my car was having a moment on the "skating rink".
My reaction: "We're gonna hit the car! We're gonna hit the car. We're gonna hit the car! in the calmest possible voice by the way. I like to invent my reality, as you can see.
It just so happened that there was lady stopped in the middle of the road and we almost made "car love" as I call it:-) Thank you Miles (my car's name) for stopping because I think I would have had a conniption had we his that lady's car.
We all sit in amazement that there must have been a higher power helping us with that one because I was so sure "We're gonna hit the car!" (You'd be amazed at the safety features in a Subaru! lol Taz)
We finally make it home at around 7 am. Once again we say "See ya later" and once again, no lie.
It's Sunday. It's 5 pm and it's time to load in for the Boston Music Awards.
We load. We play. We Win.
The End Thanks for the love people!
Zili Misik Joy:-) the crazy sax lady
