Who Gives Kudos:

Wednesday, September 19, 2007
A sweet thing happened the other night, where my friend and Citizens Band-mate Rain Phoenix, and her band, Papercranes, invited me and my band to play one of her residency shows at the Mercury Lounge here in ol' NY.
She also asked A Camp (Nina Persson's non-Cardigans project, which also features her hubby and my Shudder-brother, Nathan Larson) to play, and it turned into an awesome, Shudder To Think family jamboree!
For those of you who missed it, here are some links to give you a taste:

thank you...thank you...thank you...
to you,Nathan,kevin,Rain,Nina et all...
as I've told you before...this was one that I had been waiting for since the BIG Roxy extravaganza of '97...
the energy was nothing less truly electric...
I felt truly blessed to have found out about this...literally at the last minute...
had I not read that mornings issue of amNY...I would've missed the boat for sure...
you guys never fail to mesmerize...
a truly magical nite...
not to mention the incredile set by A Camp...
thanks again Craig for yet another wonderful sonic supreme experience...
can't wait for "Wand"...

... Ouch!!! I remember my own personal "Golden Age" when Shudder' and GVSB would tour... Detroit was on the way out and the way back... I had to use a fake ID for the Jawbox/ Shudder to Think/ My Bloody Valentine show... My ride got turned away, someone else made out with my girlfriend at the time... It was still the best show ever until Kevin Whatshisname changed Melodymakers or Jaguars for the millionth time...
