For a long time I've been working exclusively on Frontier War. But recently an opportunity was presented to me.

I had been talking with a friend whom I met through several discussion forums, he has always been one of the guys whom I bounce ideas off on, and one day he mentioned an old idea he had involving characters from one of the major publishing houses.

After looking over his stream of consciousness notes I became interested in doing the project as a collaboration. And thus I left the comfortable world of making minor changes to a very established world of my own creation and shifted to the task of creating a world from nothing. But the process has been enjoyable.

I'm posting about this now because the new year is supposed to be a time of new beginings, as well as because we're starting to make some real progress by now. I'm working on a final plot before I start the script phase and I'm getting lots of character designs now (as well as making a couple of my own or submitting my own alterations).

As time goes on I'll probably start posting some of the character designs as well as posting some prose previews like the ones I was doing for Frontier War in my blog here.

So as they say, stay tuned.
