My name is ben (bendrix) williams, creator and producer of Beneath the Beat. After many years of complaining about disproportionate radio spins and derogatory mainstream imagery, I decided to take matters into my own hands.

Fed up and frustrated, I sought after people who were looking for change. I have been fortunate to connect with four incredibly dynamic women; Rachael, Preet, Angela, and Fritswa. If Beneath the Beat represents a movement, then these young women are the essence of that movement; they are passionate, engaging, and wickedly diverse.

My brother Marc (Cram) is my best friend and mentor. Through him I have been able to utilize resources and exchange ideas with relevant extraordinary people, like MC Lyte, Dana Dana, VJ Ralph McDaniels, Jeff Johnson and many others... Stay tuned
