When "Transformers" Are Mentioned In Your Favorite TV Shows

I'm not sure how many fans have stopped to notice over the years.. But before "Family Guy" and "Robot Chicken" had mentioned Transformers. There had been many other times when Transformers made an appearance.. Long before most had considered them as collectibles or even before the conventions had came about, Transformers were being spotted in movies and in television shows.

"Flight of the Navigator" had a few Decepticons appear in the movie.

To name a few favorites..

"Flight of the Navigator" David comes in to find a few Decepticon Insecticon" waiting for him and of course a "G.I. Joe" boxed toy as well.

"It's A Different World" A televison show that was a spin off of the Cosby Show, often showed an  "Omega Supreme" in the back ground, that I'd drool over quite often.. that is until I got one personal.

"Beverly Hills, 90210" back in the early 90's had once mentioned Transformers too, but it wasn't a box of Transformers, but heman toys instead :P

"Alf" was once reading one of the Marvel comics with the "Head Masters" in it during the beginning of an episode.

"The Nerds II: Nerds in Paradise" You also see a Transformer comic book.

"The Professional" Natalie Portman loves watching "Transformers" and is spotted doing it a few times.

"The Princess Bride" It is mentioned by some that Trypticon is spotted, I've watched it a few times, but I've never stopped it personally.

Other toys that are spotted through out the years..

Fred Savage playing with a handful of Joe's in "The Boy Who Could Fly"

Along with many other toys being showed through out the years such as G.I. Joe's in "The Boy Who Could Fly" and in E.T.:The Extra-Terrestrial, Elliot shows E.T. several Star Wars action figures.

Now my friends, it's your turn, tell me what you remember :)

I always found it curious that Natalie Portman's character was a big fan of the cartoon, but that was before I knew about the huge fan-base on the Internet.

Emulation Tutorial

I remember Gobots. It was a terrible copy of Transformers. The TV show really sucked with poor animation and such, and the toy line was laughable. I loved Transformers as a kid, and my family knew this, but unfortunately Gobots were usually all I got as gifts because they were cheaper!! Well, I still had my original Bandai Voltron to smash them to bits!!
