Alright, so this new blog won't be as beautifully written as all the rest (because Anthony isn't writing it, but at least there will be 99.9% less typos (because Anthony isn't writing it). We have some interesting news for ya'll on a couple of subjects.
Number 1) Ska in the Park. You may have known that we were set to play the show for a while, only to cancel last minute. Then, the same day as the show, we posted bulletins saying we actually WERE playing Ska in the Park. If you went to the show, you realized that we didn't play. Here's the story:
A crucial member of our band bought tickets to a baseball game that was the day of the show (he bought them the night before the show, knowing we had the show). So we cancelled. Then we decided we would be able to play an acoustic set so we called the promoter and he told us our spot was filled but to "come on down at 6 and we will squeeze you in!" We came on down at 6, got hassled for 2 and a half hours, only to find out we couldn't play. Lame? Lame.
We're very sorry that you didnt get to see us that day.
Number 2) Our drummer quit the other night. So we need a new drummer.

Now, an ad: Do you play drums? Do you want to play in a band and make no money, but have a lot of fun? Do you like purchasing 12-packs of beers once a week to share with everyone? Well you've found your new home in sunny, beautiful the Guilty Parties. With stunning views of people getting mercked and enchanting trail hikes, you'll feel like youre on vacation while sitting in the comfort of your Guilty Parties practice! We have games to play once a week, like Merck, and social events, like Merck, where the fun never stops flowing from our manholes. So fall on the ground and kick your feet up in the air (twice) and enjoy your stay at The Guilty Parties.

You guys should play with a drum machine instead. And whenever you guys lose another member, replace them with a machine too. Eventually just leading to live playings of your cd.

nick and us were set to go to that game since we found out the two teams were going to see each other this season. he was not told the show had been moved to a new place tell 6:30 the night befor the day of so holding him accountable for a not showing to a canceled show due to a shady promoter is kinda fucked up in my eyes. im not down for how much you would bash someone you called a friend and refused to see the guy who failed to get permits is the real bag of juice in this situation. nick was totally going to bail on us even though we booked him first. highschool drama is so highschool.

my two cents with lots of run ons.

Nick didn't want to do it when it came down to it, we talked about it the other day. I let him know the show was 100%, regardless of the locale. I told him Friday morning via text and friday night via phone call. Either way, the past is the past and Nick is still our friend, he's just not our drummer anymore.

Yeah, I know I was personally very pissed about it Friday and Sat, but it's over and we're all still alive so it's all gravy man. There's no drama here.

Fin.

i love you both. whether or not im an a hole for bailing, there were deeper underlining issues that led to my disinterest in the band. now everyone knows that it was more than a sheisty promoter. i wish you all the best and good luck

laaaaaaaaaattttteeeers.

I just can't help but feel that this is all somehow Ian's fault.

That's only because it is. I didn't want to tell him... but now that the world knows I guess we can all now come to an agreement that Ian won Nick's soul in a game of beer pong and he didn't want him dicking around with the GPs anymore.
