So a couple weeks ago I was hanging out with James and Muki, and I mentioned that this winter I wanted to learn how to drive in the ice and snow, including on touge. They said screw that and told me I was crazy for thinking about doing that in a RWD car.
Well last night was the third time going out in the snow & ice - the second time running snow touge - already this winter! James rode along with me all three times, and it has been some of the most fun I've ever had!! It's like the tai-chi of drifting; slow & relaxed, an exercise in control. Tyler came out with us last night in his Sentra, and he was tearing it up at least as much as I was. We never really went faster than about 30mph, usually going around 20. But even at those speeds, it's a total blast - you can drift the hell out of just about anything and connect corners you wouldn't even drift in the dry.
I deem this new sport (to most of us around here) SNOW TOUGE! I'll be doing it a lot this winter, so hit me up if you wanna come! Also, we will definately be at the Sonic meet on Saturday, getting a group together for some snow touge fun!
