All,

Mark your calendars now and make plans to be at the Rock for Love benefit show for the Church Health Center on Friday, July 27 at the Gibson Lounge in downtown Memphis.

Pezz is playing along with Two Way Radio, the Third Man (Augustine), the Subteens, Snowglobe (yes, the full-on globe), Holly Cole and a couple of others. We've had a few cancelations but the lineup should firm up this week. We'll be playing several of the new songs we just recorded for our split LP/CD with While I Breathe I Hope as well as a few standards I'm sure.

The Makeshift 5 compilation is coming out in conjunction with the show and features a new Pezz song, new Subteens tune, a new song by our friends Dragoon, plus an unreleased Amy Lavere/Paul Taylor duet, new Holly Cole song, new Two Way Radio tune . . . new tunes by practically everyone you'd like to hear a new song from in fact. JD Reager (who also has a new solo tune on the comp) is furiously recording, mixing and sequencing the comp now at Unclaimed. It'll be available at stores but your first crack at it will be at the show.

The show is going to be off the hook, with a Lord T and Eloise photo booth, silent auction by Rachelandthecity plus event shirts and more. We are talking to Live From Memphis and Rocket Science Audio about the very real possibility of filming and multi-track recording the show for release later in the year on DVD (the same duo that teamed up for the Gonerfest video), so make plans to come to the Gibson Lounge and be part of a show that will be much more than your average show. More details to come...

Peace,

Marvin
