Art meets art at Candy's Apartment on Thursday 8 May with local artists Mark Wolfe and Joe Perugini exhibiting illustrations and pastel works against a backdrop of new wave rock from The Honey Palace, The Laurels and Ghosts of Television.

Mark Wolfe, aka Wolfie, illustrates 'pop' art characters with running themes that merge into music and soundscapes. Symbolism and images from lucid dream states are used to create works in paint, illustration, short film and digital form.

An invitation from Perth's United Galleries to be part of the gallery's inaugural opening night will see Wolfie exhibit illustrated and digital artworks on Friday 4 July.

Joe Perugini, aka Ziggurini, is a self-taught artist who works in pastels and acrylic and considers art as a great form of therapy. Easily inspired and addicted to painting, Ziggurini says he enters a super altered state of over reactive happiness when he's had a good spell of painting.

Doors open 8pm. Tix $10.
