I'm checking out the artist lineup for Lollapalooza 2009 since I'll be attending. Over half the artists are new to me so I'm doing some research. Seems as if their will be just as much bad as good at Lollapalooza.  This is going to be interesting. Some of the music is so weird I don't know what to think of it; therefore, this is going to be an exciting new experience. This will be my first 3 day music festival. So, I'm on the Lollapalooza website, clicking on most of the artists to get a feel for their sound and wondering what most of these artists were thinking when coming up with a name, or where they? I'm thinking about 40% are a joke anyway. I believe some just used the first word that came to mind after smoking a bowl or too much vodka or tequilla. The band "Hockey" for example, Our favorite sport is Hockey, so why dont' we just call ourselves that! What? A few others; Lunch Money, Care Bears on Fire (Ok, I kinda like this one :),  Deerhunter, He Say, She Say and Heartless Bastards. Some make me laugh which is great, but can't help but think how a few of them just simply sound stupid.
