Ive been wanting to post images from art basel weekend for quite sometime now. But things and stuff keep happening. The first thing I saw was "the friends with you parade" So cool to see the huge creatures against the sky. I loved it.  

They started about 2 hours late. Yay for me, cause I would have missed them otherwise. That may have been the cause for the super mellow mood that existed. Not many people were there. The volunteers that helped walked the balloons, the parade watchers all with cameras and the stupid beach patrol killers.  I dont have good pictures of them but they would speed by blowing up sand in everyone's face and yelling "Step Back, Five Feet Back!"  It was really so silly, cause the vibe otherwise was so chill and peaceful.

I took a bunch of pictures for Gretel, so that she could have the sense of place, but she found links that showcased the parade by the same day. Speedy Miss. G, here are some more people.

 I was walking back to my car on 10th street. The parade started around 17th and was moving south to 5th. The creatures looked so cute from behind.

I finally decide to leave, Im off the beach when i take one glance back and fall in love with the scene. The photo taking starts all over again. These are my personal favorites.

As I was finally leaving the whole beach area, I noticed the cutest little girl with long dark curly hair holding her mothers hand. We locked eyes as she exclaimed to her mom "This is the BeST DaY EvER!"  I looked over to her mom and we smiled. It was the coolest way to end a sunny parade day.
