a quick note on the song... the second verse ("my candle burns...") is taken from an Edna St. Vincent Millay poem called First Fig. it's actually the whole poem. pistol pete gave me a book of her poetry before he and joy moved to israel last year, and it has already made its way into the family. thanks pete. thanks edna.
