Hello everybody from the new TNA champion. I never thought I'd be saying my name and "champion" in the same sentence, unless of course there was a "former" in front of it. Thanks for all of the support and positive messages from so many of you, and even the guy who wrote the long analysis of why I needed to add more offensive moves to my arsenal probably meant well, even if he needs to understand that these days, just getting out  of bed in the morning is a major offensive move.

I know there is no way to make everyone happy, and from what I've gathered , not everyone is, but the best I could hope for is to work hard and hope that I washappy with the match. And I was. Actually, I was thrilled with it. I didn't have much chance to rest though, as I drove back to Long Island with J.B. and Vince Russo right after the show, in order to document a day at home with the new champion. I think you will enjoy the vignettes - keep in mind that none of them were scripted, and J.B. was just rolling tape and recording things as they went down. For example, that really is my massage therapist Jessica that you will see on Impact. She's a wonderful and inspirational woman, a blind orphan from Vietnam who has managed to raise three children on her own.

I also want to let everyone know that the Wrestler's Rescue auction to purchase a hands free voive box for Dr. Death Steve Williams will be starting in the next few days. I hopw that some of you will go over to their website and think about making a bid on one of the items. A bunch of the TNA guys have donated items, and three more gave me items at yesterday's Impact taping.

One last note. Most of you have heard rumors that I wasn't exactly wild about my days behind the desk for Smackdown. Doing color on tomorrow's main event really showed me how much fun announcing can be. Hope you enjoy it.

Congrads Champ! I'm happy for you, and feel that you deserve that gold around your waist! I don't doubt that you'll do a hell of a great job in defending it, and making us proud!
I'm looking forward to hearing your color commentating.
Take care, and be safe out there, both in and out of the ring! :)

I know I am one of a billion but mr.foley you made me think. I am diabetic have high blood pressure and recently dicover other health problems. I was 357 pounds and probally going to die soon at 35. I told myself that change was lmpossible. Re reading one of your books I realized that your career and life changed alot over the years. You I am a preacher and told kids how you were what people thought a mediicore wrestler and went to champ. Not just inside but out of the ring as well. I started walking dieting and everything 3 weeks ago. Things have changed for me. But it is nice to see your champ again.
One of a billion comments but decided to let you know anyways

I enjoyed the intensity you showed in the match very much. I also noticed how much smoother the commentary seems when it's live and not overproduced. I look forward to hearing you do it this week, and the vignettes sound entertaining and fascinating.

hey mick.. I totally am glad your champion and ive always loved watching your matches.. I mean i just dont think TNA is giving the originals their due.. Hence Aj...Samoa Joe..Black Machismo...I mean Sure Mick i think you deserve more World Title reigns then shitty WWE gave you but your a legend mick as is Sting and i dont get why TNA would really give you guys The Main Title.. i figured you two could of went at each other for like the Legends title...because you both are legends and i mean this is the most respectful way because i am a huge Mick Foley fan. i just think the younger talent like AJ need to be world champ. i dunno i am probably the only one who thinks that. Well good luck with your title run Mick..and glad ur having fun in TNA instead of being miserable in WWE..even if you dont want to admit that lol..take care BANG BANG

The IMPORTANT this is that YOU were happy and i know there are people who did enjoy your match with STINGER. Wow look forward to seeing your TNA Champion document/behind the scene vignettes. Yes i still remember asking you about Announcing when i meet you at a convention while you were STILL working with WWE and you werent exactly thrilled to answer me, LOL. Guess i know why, lol. Its cool you do like announcing given the right circumstance and not having someone yell at you. I know as a Wrestling fan i still enjoyed listening to you on Smackdown.
What is it about Wrestlers making the best Color Commentators :JBL/TAZZ/Jerry Lawer/you/Don Callis/MattStriker

Ah yes, I should also mention I thought the commentating you did for the One Night Stand '05 PPV was excellent. Especially considering it was your first night, with Styles whom also hadn't done this in a while, and with talent that hadn't been seen in years. And that's no qualification; it truly was a tremendous job, regardless. Classic PPV also.

congrats mick. That's cool and all but is TNA ever going to have a version of the "intercontinental" champion so the other talent has a reason to be fighting? There's allot of young talent on the TNA roster and i'd like to see them fighting for some straps too. anyway though...congrats on you and stingers match and double congrats that you won.

Mick, I was one of the people who were upset when you left the WWE but seeing how happy you are in TNA and how awesome you are as a person, I can't stop myself from saying Congrats, Champ!! TNA has always been an awesome promotion but never really had the star power. Now, the Hardcore Legend is once again a world champion, I had goosebumps when I watched that.
Congrats!!!!!

Well TNA is moving up. From a 50 year old champ to a 40 year old champ.
:)

Now I need to see Impact. Just to see Jessica. She sounds awesome.

Oh cool. I donated an item for the "Wrestler's Rescue" Auction for Dr. Death as well. Ironically it was also a piece of signed merchandise from a TNA star as well. I'm REALLY hoping the auction brings in a lot of money.

Cactus, that match was BANANA. I appreciated the match and thought you moved well. Cut a solid pace, there was gigging, so it was surely a main event worthy match. With that being said I do believe it was WELL short of what it could have been for one reason: no big spot! Now I know I know that it's a battle to get out of bed and at this stage in the game you have got to pick your bumps. I'm not saying a big risky bump, just a bump that looks risky on camera. How about that spot where you go through TWO folding chairs, like the one you took at Wrestlemania 15 w/ Big Show? If you took a similar bump, maybe off the second rope somehow through the chairs "and the chairs could even be of questionable integrity, I wouldn't mind", the place would go BANANA. I'd bet a bump like that would be less devastating then the back bump you took early on in the match off the top rope. How about breaking one table, it could be with a side suplex and the place would go BANANA! I know its a cage match but lets be honest, with all the gimmicks TNA uses a table getting into the cage wouldn't be far fetched. I hope you will take this only as constructive criticism from one of your biggest fans, that the biggest main event in TNA history deserved a half decent bump! It was still a good match, I'm proud of ya, and you did take quite the trip off the cage for the finish.

Once again, congrats Mick!

One small request....Please ask Sting to not use the name of the subject in his promos so much. We all know your name is Mick and don't need him to say your name every 4th word when he's speaking about you. Or any other wrestler that is the focus of Stingers' promos.

Congrats on the Championship Mick! I didn't watch it myself i'm wanting to get the DVD when it comes out however. It's been awhile since i've seen this face of Mick Foley and i have to say that i certainly missed it! BTW LOVED how you minipulated the theme music and gave Sting a beat down on last week's iMPACT! It got me on the edge of my seat. Been awhile since wrestling has done that. To tell you the truth i've gotten bored with today's "sports entertainment" and am glad that Jeff Jarrett has an actualy "Wrestling" program that offers us what we cannot get by watching WWE Programming. If you read all the comments tell Jeff and the guys in charge aswell as yourself that "Thank you for giving a wrestling fan a reason to watch it again!" Again congrats on being a what is it....a four time World Champion. I know you've been numerous time Tag Champion but the big title is what everyone is in a orginization for as everyone says.
Thank you for the memories of yesteryear and for years to come!

Hey congrats again on being the World Champion. When I made the comment about the match needing more offense it wasn't really directed all at your performance. It was more directed at Stings lack of use of wrestling moves in there and the setting of the match itself. But if you are happy with the match Mick, then so am I. So I did mean well, and didn't mean that comment in a negative way at all.
