Who Gives Kudos:

October 16, 2009 - Friday
Thanks to everyone who showed up at the Brokerage. It was a fun experience in the intimate confines of a classy establishment. The handful of younger kids in attendance kept the night at the PG-13 level, which seemed to be ok with everyone. I tried a few new things, felt a little stupid from time to time, but managed to enjoy myself -especially with all 4 Foley children (not to mention Mrs Foley) in attendance. I believe I will be announcing a few more comedy dates tomorrow, while guesting on "Night Calls" with Christy Canyon, from 7-10 est. Should be fun, if slightly embarrassing from time to time.

Than it's Bound for Glory time-time to put all the comedy away for a little while in order to gear up for a classic hard-core battle. I know I've been a little tough on Abyss, but he's about as tough as they come, and I know he's going to do whatever it takes to make a lasting impression on TNA fans. I just hope I can match his dedication and mental outlook.

I'm really excited for Bound For Glory this weekend. I really believe that you and Abyss have a chance to put on the match of the night(maybe year). I think he's gonna wanna do something special and really put his body on the line for this match. Plus I'm sure you will do some things to make the match really exciting to. Bound For Glory looks like a great card up and down as well, and I really think this PPV can rival any WWE PPV this year. It should be a great show, and I wish you the best of luck.

This really does have a chance to be the greatest hardcore match ever. You've done a fantastic job of putting Abyss over (not that he needs it), and I can't wait to see what you guys are gonna put out. This match is gonna be off the chain! Literally!  :) Rock On!  ....m/

Hey Mick,
First off I"m looking forward to Bound for Glory.  I can't wait to see your match with Abyss..I know it is going to be a classic.  Congratulations on your comedy routines. I"m glad you're having fun with them.  You're a great story teller and I love all of your promo's and your books. There are a few comedy clubs in Houston,Tx and the Houston area..do you think you might ever consider doing a show down here in Texas?  That would be really great. Take care, have a great match with Abyss at BFG, be safe, and Have a Nice Day!!!! :)

It was an awesome night, Mick. :) My mom enjoyed it too - and I wouldn't exactly call her a wrestling fan so I ended up having to explain some stuff to her, haha. But she enjoyed it too nonetheless. I loved all the stories and the "new things" you mentioned were hilarious. :D Thanks again! :)

Oh and Bound for Glory has got me excited too.

Mick, I know you, I know Abyss. The two of you will put on the kind of match that we haven't seen since your matches with Sabu. You guys are never afraid to bleed buckets, and both of you want to put on a great show, and I know you both will do just that. I seriously think this match has the makings to be better than your match with Edge.

Best of luck with Abyss, Mick. I'm always up for some good ole' fashioned bloodletting between friends. I'm reading Hardcore Diaries again, and I've gotta tell you, I'm digging the Godfather II approach you took. Reading about past disagreements between you and Vince really added to the tension when new arguments and speedbumps arose on the road to the ECW pay-per-view. By blending the background with the foreground, you were able to paint a 3-D picture for the reader. Keep up the good work because you're getting better every time you pick up your pen.

I am expecting the absolute best match of your career, bar none... not to add any pressure or anything.

I'm disappointed that TNA didn't host something like this in Dallas, TX, because I would love to go to this.  I hope that TNA will eventually bring BFG here.  It would be nice to go to something like this.
I hope you're doing well, Mick! Take care, and be safe in the ring!

Mick I just wanna say thank you.  When I first became a wrestling fan in early 2004 (thanks in no small part to your promos at the time), I never expected I would have a chance to see you wrestle live and in person.  Five years later I attended my first ever pay per view, Bound for Glory, where Mick Foley and Abyss had a hell of a hardcore match.  Thank you for allowing me to finally see the legend ply his trade live.
