October 29, 2009 - Thursday
Hey everyone. OK, so if the last entry was heartfelt and at least a little thought provoking, this one is just a basic plug for some upcoming shows. The first one is this coming Monday, November 2nd in New York City at the Gotham Comedy Club. There are two shows that night, at 7:00 and 9:00 pm, and I am planning on doing two completely different sets in case anyone wants to hang around for both. Colt Cabana will be on the bill as well, and it should be a fun time for all, though I'm wondering about the wisdom of doing two shows on a Monday night. I know that TNA is taping "Impact" on November 2nd, but because I had the show at Gotham booked first, I will be missing the TNA taping and doing the Gotham show as scheduled. I will, however, be at the November 3rd "Impact" taping. Here's a little more information.

Gotham Comedy Club
November 2, 2009  7:00 pm and 9:00 pm
208 W 23rd St, between 7th and 8th Ave
(212) 367-9000

I will also be appearing November 5th at Dick Doheryy's Comedy Escape in Worcester, Mass., where the fact that they misspelled my name on their website should bode well for me. Their number is (800) 401-2221

               and:

On November 13th, I will be at the Manhattan Comedy Club in Middletown, NY. You can call them at (845) 356-4242

              or:

Log onto the official tour website at:  TotalExtremeComedy.com

How's this for a coincidence? Two days ago, I dropped off a book at a local bookstore, asking the store manager if she could get the author who would be arriving for a book signing that evening to sign it for me. About ten minutes after returning home, I received a telephone call from Dixie Carter, telling me that TNA had just signed Hulk Hogan. The author who would be signing books later that evening? None other than the Hulkster.

I'll be in touch with everyone again soon. Thank for all your feedback.

I hope ol' Hulk spelled your name right. That could've been a great way to punctuate the announcement to see you in line with the best-selling, self-written "Have a Nice Day" for him to sign.
Great to see you pursuing the world of stand up. It seems like a natural and fun progression I'd love to see.

Remember, it was me asking Hulk for a favor. I picked up the book today. I'm trying to get as many people as possible to sign my WWE Encyclopedia to help out a kid who has been a big help to me, and I figured the Hulkster's name would be a major coup.

Oh, the same book you took to the convention. That should be an amazing gift. I didn't suspect you'd do anything untoward to Hulk, but I couldn't help but imagine the different scenarios that could play out between you. I'm sure you'll deliver if given the opportunity. It's been interesting to see the classic Hogan persona interact with more current names from a different era and it'd be really cool to see you and he together.

Hey Mick,
Congratulations again on all your success.  I"m happy you're getting to do comedy shows.  I hope you're having fun with them.  That's a funny coincidence.  What are you feelings about Hulk coming to TNA? Are you excited?  I was shocked.  I didn't think Hulk or Eric Bischoff wanted to have anything to do with TNA.  I guess you really can't ever say never in the wrestling business.  Take Care Mick and Have a Nice Day!!! :)

I'm pretty excited about the Hulk deal. I think I've mentioned several times over the years that the only guys I really wanted to wrestle and didn't were Bruiser Brody and Hulk Hogan. So, who knows?

Sorry that TNA changed the taping schedule on you Mick. I know they were suppose to tape 4 shows in three days but changed it at the last minute. So it's not your fault for having the comedy show already booked. Hopefully they can tape some stuff out of order on Tuesdays tapings and edit you in the November 5th Impact still. Hogan going to TNA is very interesting, and I really hope you guys do a feud together at some point.

Hey  Mick.   Have fun.  Id love to read a list of all the autographs you are trying to get/have got.  It would probably make an interesting story itself on how you are going about getting some (minus the easy pass around method at conventions... lol)

Well, Hulk is the only one I'm going to go to a bookstore to get, but I might be willing to cros political lines to get some of the WWE guys to sign it. You know, give it to one of my friends who would bring it to a show.

I like reading your blog because it isn't just plugs for things you are doing. So many celb blogs are just ads.

Even in this obvious plug post you still added something that wasn't just where you'll be.

Hope you get something of your comedy show on internet as would love to see just a snippet. Will probably only make me depressed that not much hope of you bringing it to the uk in the near furure. Sure will get to see the hardcore legend before i get too old to justify going to wrestling shows lol. Went to see Bowling for Soup with my daughter and have to admit to moshing with the best of them. Proves that age is only a number. My wonderful man took me to a Magnum concert following week and that was really loud. Hope to meet you one day but till then take care and keep up all the wonderful things you do.

the man, the myth, the hardcore legend, Mick Foley in stand up comedy, awesome, hopefully you will be able to rip on al snow some more, Mick you are my hero, and, in my oppinion, the best wrestler of all time, you deserve to be put in the mentions with Flair, Hogan, Steamboat, and Austin. Mick good luck in stand up, let me know if you do a show in North Carolina, with TNA or in the world of comedy!!!!

Nice! Hey Mick, just a quick question about your book. Who will you make fun of as a running gag? Since Test sadly passed away and Al Snow hasn't wrestled for a major company in eons, So who will it be? I can't wait for the book, and I wish you the best of luck in your future projects with TNA.
