The following is completely true. I literally wrote this in the middle of the night when I couldn't sleep. I decided when I was finished that I indeed wanted to share it with the teenagers of the world... but never really put the plan into action. Months past, and I was sorting through my documents and discovered this. This time, I was far less busy, and wanted to help even more -- so I created this MySpace. That is the story, that is how this MySpace began. Enjoy everyone. I had it featured on the main page for a while, but I figured it's time to transport it. This is quite personal. Please use however you want. =]
My message to everyone reading this. From my heart to yours. In my opinion, I've experienced and been through so much more than the average teenager. Who knows? This very well could or could not be true. It's a fact that some have definitely experienced more than me, and some have definitely experienced less. The point is to pass on what I've picked up from life so far -- lessons I've learned, things I wish I'd known. Life is an adventure. It's important for every teenager to realize this. There's good and bad in everyone's life... sometimes more bad than good. I know it seems hard, but we really need to remember to stay as optimistic as we possibly can. When the big picture doesn't look too pretty, it's important to focus on the small things in life. Examples? Hearing your favorite song on the radio. Reading a great joke online that makes you crack up hysterically, or even giggle a little bit. Having your kitten come over and snuggle up with you... these are all moments you need to embrace. Tuck them inside you, and let them help you stay strong as you go through the hard times. Embrace and appreciate life. Every good moment, plant clear in your mind. It's okay to brush over the bad ones, although remember to face them head on, don't ignore them -- just have those good memories in your head ready at all times. I know what you're thinking. What do I know? My life's probably perfect at the moment, all of my troubles gone. I just want to make it clear how untrue that really is. I'm going to be perfectly frank with you. As I'm writing this it's 2:16 am. I'm up because I can't sleep. I'm writing this not only as an inspiration for other teenagers, but as something for myself to rely back to when I need it. I certainly don't feel optimistic 100% of the time. This is just a reminder. Something for you to check back to when you're feeling down. A little pick me up. Now, if you're reading this and aren't feeling too great? REMEMBER: You are strong. You are beautiful. Keep your head up high, and don't give up. You can get through this, and you are going to be okay. From someone with life experience... I promise. I'm speaking as much to myself as to every single teenager out there. Yes, you. You can do it. Don't forget that. =]
