our little two-or-so minute arrangement for the Adopt-A-Song project has "been in the can" now for a bit...supposedly Our Leader in the project has enlisted a reputable mastering engineer who'll go nameless for now.
this makes me feel a little uneasy and insecure...those of you who have actually "seen" studio6 will maybe know where i'm comin' from.
last year, i played a staggering amount of live dobro...at least weekly i was in front of a small crowd, here and there, playing "guerilla street dobro" with anyone who was willing.
it plainly cured me of any predilection to stage fright i may have had, and has sharpened my ear quite a bit.
now i have a bit of a day job, after being unemployed for nine months. this will curtail my "dobro floozy" activites a bit, but i'll still be playin' regularly at my weekly local open mic, as well as remaining in the bass chair for "the other jacksons"
www.theotherjacksons.comi have some new vids shot over the last couple of months...i'll post a couple next blog...
OH YEAH>>>for you folks local to geoff6, or indeed any of youse who wanna travel far to see a supreme coffeehouse gig, mark FEBRUARY 28 on your calendar for "upstairs at red rock" featuring TIN CAT, CAMERON DE PALMA, and THE OTHER JACKSONS.
a good time will be had by all.
