that's right kiddies. maynard had LAZERS. and it was quite awesome. the concert was amazing and incredible. maynard and the band was spot on. they couldn't have been more perfect. and the venue was surprisingly full, of course, from what i was told, bako was the ONLY show they didn't sell out, go figure. and people wonder why actually GOOD BANDS don't come to bako. any who. loud and colorful, maynard would talk to the audience, mockingly of course, but it was hilarious. one, was telling some broads to "put those [boobs] away for god sakes!" "so we're in bakersfield...um, korn's from here." and his last words, "we're leaving you, like a fart in the wind..." very classy, classy man. ;)
the show was just classic. the greatest memory, not including all those fantastic, stretches/dance/humping/thrusting of maynard, was the all out fucking sing-a-long during SOBER. it was something else. the entire venue was singing back to maynard. he even proceeded to hold the microphone away and let us sing. it was beautiful. SERIOUSLY. i can't even say that's happened at any of the NIN shows i've been at. but i'm still living on my Tool high, fuck, i wish i was going down to the show on the 7th in LA. but i'll take what i can get, and let the memories live on in my little brain. i need to get my hands on a set list for sure...
and it was loud. and lovely. and isis wasn't bad either.
until next time kiddies! stay classy san diego. :D |
