BTW i was watching 'the worlds dumbest criminals' and these guys held up a family at gunpoint in their house while they stuffed all of their terrier pups into a garbage bag. There was a HUGE flat screen sitting right there! and I am sure there was money and jewelry in the house, not that I am condoning stealing, but to rob a family at gunpoint and only take dogs?

Because I live in Houston, Texas. The air outside is not all that fresh, the humidity is close to 100% and temperature is in the 100's. I do my running indoors in the summer.

You suffer through the hot temperatures for 3 months in the summer so you don't have to suffer through the COLD temperatures for the 9 months of winter.....I live in Michigan. It sucks.

Florida's just as bad. Northwest Florida ran into the 90's for a couple days and it was a bastard heat index of 102! Not the time for running around, unless it's under a waterfall.

absolutely. you should ask if you could just gain a lot of baby weight for next season, then you would get an entire summer of no cardio!!

yeah, but then she'd have to lose it again, which is even harder. because god knows pam has to be back to her pre-pregnancy weight 2 days after giving birth...

Agreed.

Me and a friend had a conversation this morning about wishing we could sleepwalk our way through a cardio workout.  It would be ideal... no wasting time... no feeling gross... no worrying about what you look like doing your exercises.  You would wake up really gross, but... I think I could deal with that if I woke up a few pounds skinnier.

I hate it, too. But I was watching Real Housewives of New Jersey, and Caroline said it best. Paraphrase: "Do I enjoy working out? Absolutely not. Do I feel good when I'm doing it? Absolutely not. But is it the best thing for me? Yes."

I feel your pain.  I started powerwalking/running 4.4 miles 2 weeks ago and my legs are KILLING me.  I had shin splints at first but finally got over it.  I got some great insoles for my running shoes which has really helped me out.

Good luck with your workouts!!

Courtney

Pfft, cardio's easy, especially when you have somebody else do it for you. Then you can just sit back and eat Chili Cheese Fritos while the poor sap is working out.

Get a dog, a real dog, rescue one, not some tiny lap dog, something like a shepherd. Then cardio can be fun. Walking a dog any where turns into an adventure.

I agree, my sister rescued a black lab and takes it on bike rides and 10 mile runs and she has some one to play with and talk to the whole way.  It's an amazing way to distract you from the fact that you're actually exercising.  :)  If you don't want to get your own dog, you can always borrow a friend's for an hour - I'm sure they wouldn't mind you walking their dog for free.  :)
