We didn’t win but we had FUN! A big congrats to our director Jeff Blitz who won for Directing! He directed our Superbowl episode with the Fire Drill opening. Best opening ever!
It was crazy hot the day of the Emmys. We arrived on the red carpet at 3:30pm and the interviewers, who had already been there for hours, were drenched in sweat. They gave us each little battery-powered fans as we arrived…which actually helped a lot. It usually takes about an hour to walk a red carpet with all of the stops. I think I did it in half the time…I just wanted to get inside to the air conditioning!
I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED my dress!
I have to thank my stylist Becks who put together the whole look. The dress is by Reem Acra, Clutch by Christian Louboutin, Earrings by Sutra, Bracelet by Amrapali and Ring by ..
The shoes are Jimmy Choo. Let me talk to you about these shoes.
These are 5 inch platform heels. I usually wear Uggs or flip flops. My feet are not used to the torture that is wearing heels. It took a lot of work to keep myself standing up straight. My ankles wanted to turn in like when I’m in ice skates. But I had to do it. Even though you couldn’t see the shoes, they made the dress look so pretty!!! I wore them through the Emmys and the Governor’s Ball but then changed to a lower heel on the way to the People Magazine after-party. Even the lower heel was torture. Phyllis changed into sequined flip flops! I was jealous.
I have to give a shout out to a couple of my Office Ladies. LOOK AT HOW AMAZING MINDY LOOKED!
Here’s Angela…looking incredible and tiny with no effort at all. I’m pretty sure she had onion rings for breakfast.
She had a baby! She never works out! She's eats crap all day! So not fair.
Here I am with my fiance Lee at the Governor's Ball:
We found a spot on some couches near the band when we first arrived. It had a cool, old-Hollywood vibe. We ordered a couple of drinks and enjoyed the music before heading to our table. It was really nice. It was the perfect spot for seeing people. And for food! We ate THE MOST AMAZING mini-cheeseburgers. We waited for a second tray to come by but it never did. I could have eaten a million of them.
After the Governor’s Ball we hit the People Magazine/Entertainment Tonight Party and ended the night at the AMC bash with the cast of Mad Men. Gotta love those guys! At the AMC party they passed around mini-grilled cheese sandwiches and fries. SO GOOD!
We left around 2:30am. I think I got 4 hours of sleep before I had to be at work the next morning. But it was worth it! If only the Cowboys had won!
