Hello and welcome to my page! This has been a long time coming, and I must say that I'm very excited to be joining such an amazing community of people. MySpace has grown tremendously since it's induction, and I look forward to meeting and getting to know as many friends as possible.

To tell you a little bit about myself, in 1995, while still working as a financial analyst for a city rehab housing program, I decided to sit down and write my first novel. I ended up writing every evening, weekend, and holiday and at the end of seven months when my manuscript was complete, I began submitting query letters to agents and ultimately sent them directly to editors at major publishing houses. But as it turned out, I received one rejection letter after another. So, needless to say, I was disappointed and even figured it was time to move on to something else--that is until my mother highly encouraged me to keep trying no matter what and my husband insisted I could start my own business and publish the book myself---which is exactly what I did and thankfully, I ended up selling just over 10,000 copies within the first six months and signed with an agent and publisher four months prior to that.

The reason I share this story as often as I can is because it is my sincere hope that it will inspire every person who hears it. It is my hope that it will inspire and motivate others to follow their own passion, find their overall purpose and reach for the stars.

Then, as far as who I am as a person, well, I love God, my husband, the rest of my family and friends, and my primary goal in life is to do the right thing and treat others the way I want to be treated myself. Additionally, I live by and recommend my own personal motto which is to: Believe in God, believe in yourself, and then believe in whatever it is you are trying to accomplish.
