Suicide Squeeze is thrilled to announce that starting now fans can listen to an advance preview of the forthcoming Russian Circles release, Geneva, at
Revolver Magazine.
To try and pin a genre tag to Russian Circles would be an exercise in futility. Mike Sullivan (guitar), Dave Turncrantz (drums), and Brian Cook (bass) make music that is intense, compelling, enrapturing, and transformative. Geneva, out October 20th, is built like a symphony, with repeating motifs evolving over time, building to crescendo and abating to nearly ambient passages of sparking static and speaker smoke.
Unite three musicians – playing three unique roles; each compelled to move in the direction of what is timeless, to draw on history and take from where they’ve grown and from the traditions of music made decades ago – and you’ll craft a moment, a Rite of Spring, a new foundation akin to what Russian Circles have accomplished on their third album, Geneva.
Geneva was engineered by Greg Norman at Electrical Audio and produced by Brandon Curtis of The Secret Machines.

Frazzling mind(s) like rain water on a circuit board, their music is powerful, post-rocky stuff that's not afraid to go a bit metal every now and then.
-NME
If you dig the ambient music of Mogwai or Explosions In The Sky but need a little more rock in your life, a little more grime, something to bang your head to, Russian Circles is the band for you. With its third LP, Geneva, the Chicago trio creates a symphony of guitars and drums that delicately evolves into a furious metal rock-out.
