Books and things come from the far reaches of the Earth, or from across the street to gather here at Atomic Books. How does that happen? That's another chart...

1. You place your order online, on the phone or by mail.
2a. Someone takes you order if it's by phone or mail.
2b. Rachel and Benn get your online order.
3. Rachel prints out your online order. Benn makes an invoice.
4. Someone pulls your order.

This part is not always as simple as it should be. We have thousands of titles and sometimes it's like a treasure hunt.

If everything is in stock then skip to 7. If not then...

5. Rachel lets people know what items are out of stock, when they may come back in, if they want it backordered or cancelled or want something else instead. This part can take a while, too.
6. International orders are responded to with additional charges for shipping and confirmed. I can not draw a plane.
7. The order is packaged up by Rachel or Maggie.
8. Maggie or Eric take the orders down to the United States Postal Office.
9. The other people in line sometimes hate us. But there are four other bookstores that ship at that Post Office. So I guess they can hate us all.
10. Your order arrives!

Of course, there are things that happen if your order does not arrive, if your order is damaged, or stolen or something is wrong with your order or etc.
