I'll start from the beginning. I had a doctor appointment Wednesday and when I
went in she asked me if I wanted to go full term or get induced. I was
so ready to have him so she called the hospital to see if there was an
open bed for Monday night, well they didn't, they had 3 cesarean
sections so she asked them how that night was and they said they could
do it so I had to go to the hospital that night at midnight to be
induced. I got there and they went to give me an IV, well the first
nurse missed my vein so she got another nurse to come in and do it.
While waiting on the second nurse to come in a lady came to take blood
and then the second nurse finally came in and when she went to give me
my IV she said it was about to blow so I had to get a third, so in all
of 10 minutes I got stabbed 4 times. =/ Ugh! Well they get the petocin
started I'm guessing around 1AM and at like 4AM I started having a long
contraction and Collin's heartbeat dropped so she had to call for help
and like 4 nurses were in there working on me, I had to get a shot to
stop the contraction and then after that I got the epidural....thank
god. Well after about 6 hours of having the epidural I was 6 cm dilated
and the pain was all starting to come back. So they called
anesthesiology and some man came in and said he was gonna have to redo
it that it wasn't working right. Well about 20 minutes later I was
ready to push so there was no time for my epidural. I started pushing
and pushing and it felt like nothing was happening. My mom thought I
was gonna pass out because my eyes were rolling back in my head but I
finally pushed him out after 31 minutes of pushing and I didn't tear
either, thank god!! We were in the hospital until Saturday night and
everything went good. Collin was born at 1:03PM weighing 7lb 4.6oz and
was 19 3/4 inches long.
