God has been particularly patient with me lately. I have found what it means to know He is truly jealous for us. That sounds bad but it's really pretty awesome. If you ever get time, you should study what that really means- it's beautiful.


I like knowing that no one will ever be as close to my as He is! I love knowing that He desires my heart more than anyone else ever will desire my heart or my company. I love knowing HE is the only one who can handle this girls needs! I have found myself desiring more and more of Him the closer I get to HIM. HE keeps me in awe. 

My favorite thing He does is restore broken people. I love having a front row seat to that. He has blessed me beyond anything I can explain and the ministry is exploding! We now have about 15 active volunteers and many others who are on the list for specific events.

Since the people subscribing to this blog subscribe to keep up with the ministry, I will keep it about that but I want you to know I am bustin at the seems to talk about so much more :)

So... We are preparing for another weekend warrior event for the last weekend of May. WOOHOO! This is my favorite thing to do now. I have trained other people to take over the weekly county classes so that I can concentrate on the prison events and trying to get a home up and running for the girls coming out of prison. The funding will have to come in to make this happen but we have a house parent ready!  I love that God has been using so many different people, backgrounds and denominations to put this team together. We are blessed - so blessed!!! At the same time, I have struggled with disapointment as well. There are so many Christians that couls contribute to helping but just dont seem to care. If we all worked together, it would not be hard to find the resources - some are right before our eyes even! Still, complacency or caring more about things than people prevent so much ministry from taking place. Sorry, that was my lecture of the day. 

Anyway, Listen to the team God has brought!! 

Valerie - I have known her for years - she was my sons speech therapist and is a very detailed person. She has taken over ALL the administratve things! This has been such a heavy load for me - I can't even tell you how much weight I feel has been taken off of me since she came on board. Not only that, she has put a team of 5 girls together and they have taken the minimum security class! Thats makes 2 huge loads off my back! She has become a God send and a very close friend.  


Janet - Janet took my class in Denton county years ago. She is 5 years clean now and ready to be a house mom. She has been going into the prisons to share her testimony and has been such a blessing to me. Her heart is to serve and she does it so beautifully.

Shirley  and Anne - they have taken over the Wednesday morning class and are doing awesome. Shirley has gone in with me for years and has been a great encouragement to me. She came to the classes for such a long time jsut to keep me from having to go by myself. Now... her heart is for the women in these facilities. Anne is quite a blessing too. God sent her at just the right time to get me through a very rough time. She has been so faithful to the call and so willing to whatever God has called her too.

Jan - My prayer warrior and mentor! She has prayed for years through sickness and everything. She has always beleived in me, never looked down on me even when I gave her reason too. I was never too needy for her :)  She is who I want to be when I grow up! :)

Latrice- She came out of my class in Collin County years ago. as God restored her heart and her family, she began to serve out of the abundance of God's love in her life. She has now taken over the Juveile Center and has been a true gift to those girls and to me as well.

Jordan - a very talented 19 year old girl who writes, sings, plays the guitar and many other instruments. Also, she is profoundly mature for her age. She doesn't use the word "like" too much  and has even gone on a couple of women's events with me. She is a great addition to the ministry and my life!

Brian and Ed- they Teach the boys at the JV Center. They have been given so few tools from me!  I am so used to working with girls, I don't have a clue how to help those two teach boys but they do a great job and I am so proud of them!


Then there are a group of amazing women who are serving by going into the prisons to do small groups, share testimonies and help with our weekend events.
 
Sheryl - she has been a part of this since it all started and we have been so blessed to see all God has done. She tries t attend every event she can and has this great "teacher look" that keeps everyne in line :)

Janice- We stole her from Bill Glass,lol. Not really- she still works for Bill Glass but she goes in with us too. She has an awesome way with the girls. God brought her to my life at a crucial time as well and she has been not only a great addition the ministry but God has used her profoundly in my life.

Mandy - We stile her from Bill Glass too. Really, I am kidding but that is where I met her! She has an incredible testimony and God is using her in awesome ways in the prisons. She is 10 years clean and sober now and has graduated nursing school! YEAH GOD! 

Katrina- She was in my class in Collin County as well. I thought I lost Katrina some time ago. God had other plans and she is back and serving with avengence!!! She has grown so much spiritually and I cannot wait ot see what God is going to do with her.

God has also brought an entire group of prayer warriors!!! They are from St Paul Lutheran Church in Plano - go figure that God would put a bunch of Lutherans with a few baptists :)

WOW.. I just realized how long it was taking me to do this!!! There is still so much to say and so many people to talk about.. lol. Okay sorry about that!! I can be so long winded. I wonder how many typos there are in here? lol. I am so sorry I got side tracked. I will try and catch you up tomorrow but dont hold your breath or anything!!!

Well... Hows this for summary.. God is good, He is moving, lives are changing and we need a house for these girls- pray for it please!!!   :)
