i just wanted to quickly thank everybody that came out to the shows on the west coast jaunt that i had during the end of may and beginning of june.

the shows in oregon were delightful. i saw some old friends and drove through central oregon. it was...infrostruluable. yes...its a word. or is it???

the show in Sisters, Oregon was one of the most enjoyable shows i've had in a long time. that was a great group of hilarious, open minded, musically unfrostruluable (ahhh yes) people.

i went down interstate 5 and played some shows in California. Soulsbyville was cold, but esoterically charming. i loved the people there. i did a little break dancing for someone's school project. the best part is that i don't break dance. but...there was cardboard underneath me so i went for it. more news on the pulled hamstring at a later date. Alamo, California was a sweet show. i did see the most horrific car accident involving two deer at the same time AND i got waxed on the basketball court by some of the guys on staff...but it was a great night. they also put me up in the Marriot. i lapped on my bottled water through a pewter straw that night. the 500 dollars worth of pancakes and swedish fish charged to the room was NOT me...and i will stand by that in state or federal court if need be.

Fairfield, Cali!!! what a ridiculously good time! the staff was amazing. Ruck City was the coolest. i did a lot of freestyling with the kids there. there were a lot of enthusiasts for the game there. its refreshing to be at a show where i'm not having to "prove myself" sometimes. i play a lot of shows where people don't listen to hip hop and/or are disenchanted by it. so...i feel like i'm having to transend the norm that they sometimes (and rightfully so) have preconceived. but...at fairfield...i played two shows and they were down for everything. they dug my hip hop, they dug the freestyles, they liked my acoustic stuff...they were so supportive and so ridiculously multi cultural/multi generational. every age and race was represented. i loved it and can't wait to go back.

i spent a couple of days in LA to hang out with some college and music friends. great times. the gas prices out there are "sound and fury...signifying EVERYTHING!" wow. get out your wallets and hand that pocket bait over.

i walked down hollywood blvd a few times in my new white sneakers. they have four stripes on them. they are adidas knock offs and i will fight you with my knees if you have a problem with that. i got them for nine bucks...so remain reticent...or taste patella pasta.

i wanted to go to the Chinese Theatre just to take pictures. the...ahem...cream of the crop was out that night. i was really stoked to see someone dressed like Jimmy Neutron. i wanted to get a picture with him, but i'm 98% positive that he was, from behind that big mascot sized head, trying to get me to join the church of Scientology. i kept hearing buzz words in a very muffled, barely audible baritone. remember...hollywood isn't america.

finally...i flew into Newport, Tennessee and played a huge camp at Carson Springs Camp. what a cool group of kids. we had so much fun, took goofy pictures, freestyled, made up silly songs...it was the best. i had one whole floor to myself in their hotel. ONE WHOLE FLOOR! it was great during the day, but it turned incredibly creepsville late at night. i stayed in my room. i didn't even leave to get ice. i'm a pushover.

thanks so much to everyone that made it such a success. thanks to all the new friends/acquaintances/fans/artists/supporters that i met while i was out west. i hope to see all of you soon.

and i hope to see YOU...yes...YOU this month for ichthus festival and big ticket festival. it promises to change your life....even if i have to alter your future on my own (by stealing your car). hugs and toe taps.
