When everything goes to shit with a tour, a natural response is anger and disappointment. After that there is acceptance. We are definitely in that stage now.
Sometimes you're so angry you forget important facts. After reading a variety of comments posted on our bulletin, it really forced me to think about our entire experience with Alerta Antifascista and Timo. Before all this happened, I couldn't say a bad thing about either. I had actually just bought Timo this awesome/cheesy Storm Trooper mask this past weekend and was so excited to give it to him. Why was I bringing him a gift? It's because he is a super cool guy that took a risk in booking us back in 2008. From the recommendation of Kirsten and Naked Aggression he took a chance on us. We had the best time. It was truly unforgettable. Timo is a great guy. It is just bad luck and we got the brunt of it. We do not regret having worked with him.
It looks like we may be able to get our airfare back only because Eli, our drummer has an ear infection (you can't fly with one). So things aren't looking as bleak as they did. Perhaps the bad luck is changing.
We do wish we were packing for Europe right now, but that will wait for another time. Thanks again to everyone who wrote us with encouragement. It really helped put me in a more positive state of mind. Thanks to all the bookers and promoters for understanding.
