Hi folks!

Things are going pretty good right now. I've been experimenting with digitally made music the past few days. It's pretty cool. I do plan to set up a more professional "project-studio" over time, but then I need to build up my budget.

Right now I am working on a personal project, generally a bunch of music I make so I can listen to it later. Helps me keep a peaceful mind, it relaxes me. In the end I will probably record everything to a CD and make it available for the public :) The current soundtracks you can hear at my 'myspace homepage', is a part of this music, though not the final versions.

But there's much more going on as well. I'm writing music for two short movies right now. They are made by young nordic film-makers for the "Amandus Festival 2008" that'll be seen early February.

Upcoming projects is kind of secret at this moment, actually. Hehe. It's going to be great. I've even made names for the projects.. "The Enya-project" and "Ayla-orchestral". Stay tuned for more information about that some other day :)

15th November, 2007 // Two new soundtracks composed!

Ascend
The idea of this soundtrack was pretty much to experiment with drums and the mix of instruments. I wanted to create a "savannah"-ish feeling, kind of like The Lion King I guess. It came out quite cool, to be honest.

Season of Love
This one is special. It was written to my girlfriend, Mari. The main melody was found by 'accident' while she was giving me her awesome massages. I played it and said "Oh! That sounded quite nice, didn't it? I like that melody. That's for you!".

She didn't know I was working on a soundtrack based on that melody until I told her the day it was finished (yesterday). In the time afterwards, I can also imagine the piece to fit into a story with a boy & a girl playing outside while it's snowing. Don't know why, but it gives me a taste of Christmas. Just a bit more than a month left!

That's all from me.. For now. Mails keep on coming in, got to answer!

Peace,
Tommy Gundersen.
