Welcome to the Love London 2008 e-Bulletin which aims to keep you up to date with the progress of the festival, new ideas and events, as well as about how you can take part.
Love London is an annual festival of events focussing on the environment and sustainability, promoting grass roots action across London. Love London integrates of hundreds of events run by a range of local communities, organisations, individuals and authorities, who work together to make a difference in our capital.

Online Content
Love London now has a presence on MySpace and Flickr, we hope to engage more people by increasing our online presence. The Love London e-Bulletin is published online each month at the same time as release by email, on the MySpace site as a Blog.
The Flickr site has been updated with photos from previous years during the Love London festival. If you have any photos of activities and events during the festival and eventually this year's festival and you would like them to be posted on the website, please email Robert@lovelondon.org.uk.
Events Showcase
The West London Greenfest has run for the past few years as part of the Love London festival and BikeWeek. The event is organised by a team of volunteers put together by hfcyclists, the local branch of the London Cycling Campaign in H&F, and with help from LBHF. The West London Greenfest has been confirmed to run on Sunday the 15th June. Contact John Griffiths by email for more information – john@truefeelings.com
Brent Council is organising a major Green Event for its yearly Gladstonbury Festival, which is held in Gladstone Park, Dollis Hill, in North West London. The event, with the theme "Living the Green Dream", will be held on Sunday 22 June and therefore will be one of the last events of the Love London festival.
This event will span over 3 zones in the Festival - an "Environment Knowledge" zone, an "Environment Activities" zone and a "Green Market" zone are planned. The aim is to promote environmental issues & sustainable living to visitors in a fun and interactive way, through games, workshops, activities and showcasing different product ideas & initiatives. The exact programme of activities is yet to be finalised but may include "Brent's Environment Olympics", a "Recycled Fashion Show" and "Transforming plastic bags" workshops.

Key Dates
** The Love London festival pre-Launch event is on the 25th of March at London's Living Room, City Hall. It will run from 16:00 to 18:00 and will include Grant winners announcements, workshops for event organisers as well time for networking and word on the progress of the festival.
Workshops will be held from 17:00 to 18:00. Four workshops will run in two half an hour sessions. The workshops will consist of: Running Children's Events (Session 1), Running Green Events (Session 1), Achieving Media Coverage (Session 2), and Holding a Good Stall at a Green Fair (Session 2).

**Love London Launch at London Zoo – Launching simultaneously with the Love London recycled scuplture show at London Zoo. The show will continue until september 5th. Anthony Wilson will curate the show and exhibit in it. Click here for details for submissions. 29th May. More details to follow.
Grants
We are providing the chance for people who wish to run an event, to win one of our £500 grants. There are around 7 grants available to fund and organise an event during the Love London festival. Grants will be awarded under each of the Love London themes by our sponsors.
An application form is available here. Please fill in the form and email the form to robert@lovelondon.org.uk, or post it to the address below. Applications for grants should be submitted by the 15th March.
