Wendy V's Blog Spot – November '09
Exclusive to the Commodore Grille MySpace blog

Love and prayers going out to dear Debi Champion, who lost her father
recently. Debi spent some time away for a bit last month to be with her
family during that time. However, stepping up to the plate for hosting
chores in her absence was the Commodore Grille's own "setup angel",
Anthony (Tony) Sandi. Tony shows a warm, witty and charming
personality behind the mike and takes great care that the musicians get
the sound mix that they need. Way to go, Tony!
-
By the way, have you checked out Debi's schedule for the month of
November? She has got one kickin' lineup this month…get those dates on
your calendar and don't miss some great nights of music! Keep your eyes
open for Rick and Tammy and Lorna's schedules posted each week as well!
-
The Commodore has some regularly scheduled rounds throughout the month
from various music groups. One of the newest additions to the schedule
is Neon Productions Radio (www.musictogousa.com)
. Neon Productions Radio tapes rounds from the Commodore monthly to be
broadcast on the last Sunday of each month at 9 p.m. Eastern time.
-Even
though it had been postponed for one week due to weather, the
Vanderbilt Children's Hospital block party benefit at the Holiday Inn
Select was a big success. They even ran out of parking for everyone!
Spotlight:
There are many people playing here regularly that I love. But when I see this name on the schedule, if I'm free, I'm here: Dakota Grove.
This dynamic trio (Camille Wallin, Scott Sanford, Daisy Dern) has it
all with tight harmonies, top notch songwriting and on-stage charisma.
I caught their most recent one-hour set and they had the audience's
undivided attention. You heard it here: Dakota Grove makes musical
magic. (And congrats to Scott Sanford on his recent engagement!)
That's it for now…see ya at the Commodore! – Wendy V
