Current mood: angsty Category: Writing and Poetry
I was in class yesterday and during a bourrage of meaningless questions about stuff we didn't need to know for the test, my mind began to wander. I wrote two poems about a current situation that I am going through. Beware, before you read, know that one is really dark and the other just angry. I guess it made me feel better after I got my feelings (as dark and ravenously angry as they are) out on paper:
The Dark Knight Anger Encompasses I must resist. I want my revenge; I want my pound of flesh, Violent beligerence. Persecuted for good, Scolded for right, Bludgeoned for correctness. My blood rage must submit, Become tranquil rivers. My dark knight must stay quiet, Become a crusader of peace. My battle must be surrendered, Becoming God's, no longer my own. --Shauna Phillips
The Hen The long, straining neck Eyes bulging The sarcastic beak protruding. Head erect, Spectacles set, Into my life her wings intruding. Pathetic creature, No compassion in her girth; Irresponsibility she's alluding. With teeth clenched, With lips stiffened, My insides are brooding. --Shauna Phillips
I also did some acronym poetry, but I'll keep those to myself, because then you'd know EXACTLY who I am referencing above. There's no need for that now. I am sure I will reveal it in a year or two :)
