it's a sad fact of life...just because someone is blood doesn't mean that they will be kind to you and/or be there for you...my maternal grandmother was more of a mother to me than my own biological mother...

as much as some ties may hurt to break, it's better to break them in the long run than to keep suffering for the so-called sake of family
