So house majority leader John Boehner, the number 1 republican in the House of Representatives,  gave a speech at a tea party gathering.  I am cringing that this even happened.... you know what...  I'm not even going to tell you what the hell happened but I will tell you that he's NOT smarter than a 5th grader and social studies musta kicked his ass.......take a look and tell me what you think. 



Now, I don't want to hear a bunch of bitching and complaining that I'm picking on one party over another ... I'm not a political science major but it's my understanding that most inaugural ceremonies require that the politician swear or affirm to uphold the Constitution of the United States.......don't you have to know it to uphold it?  Just a thought......what say you??  I say major fact checker FAIL!!!  Some poor intern is now filling napkin holders at the capitol hill McDonald's.

Dear Stang, I wouldn't bet that the intern is in trouble. No one may have even caught it. I did see this but I am so used to having the Constitution distorted and the Declaration of Independence misquoted so many times that I just moved on. Remember he also thinks our government is socialist. Not correct either! Peace, howie

And this dippy is the leader of the House Republicans.  Not only is he a veteran politician, whose probably got a decade or two in the House under his belt, but this is the guy who all the other House Repubs look to for leadership.  This is more than just a fact-check fail.  This is a Leadership Fail.  Everybody makes mistakes, but Our nation's leaders need to make fewer mistakes- and zero Stupid mistakes- than regular people in order to hold Our confidence.  This guy just fumbled while attempting to get a first down.

I am all over that.  I realize no one is infallible but I think that some things should be "part of the job knowledge" and since he was supposedly reading from a working copy of the constitution.....*sigh*...yeah...that could be a HUGE training issue.

I can understand how you got to that point 

Actually if you want to be TECHNICAL, and I'm not mistaken... the issue of a national health care initiative is not unconstitutional.  There are no provisions given by the constitution for national health care.  I'm not going into the bill debate, if I wanted to do all that I'd run for office...lol.......I do see the point in your initial statement.

I will have to look I'd love to see the links.  I try and not discuss politics heavily online because I think that in some instances it's pointless but I'll say this, since America is built on immigrants, we should look at what our policies are less we be considered a hypocrite.  I did post this video due to the irony of it but in all honesty, had this been said by anyone, I'd have cracked on it....sort of like when Shaquielle (sp) O'Neil went to Greece and a reporter asked him if he had seen the Parthenon and he responded "I'm not sure of all the clubs we went to"........same deal.

You see, the Constitution *doesn't even HAVE* a Preamble.  And therefore, Boehner is even more stupid for thinking it does.

Oh I know RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!    A lot of people don't know that the constitution has one an it reads

"We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

However, it's also not Rachael's JOB to know the constitution, she is not sworn to uphold it.... NICE dig...lol, another intern filling in napkin holders.

Maybe not but if she is going to call people out about such things, she probably ought to get a better knowledge on it first.

I defend the thing so I make it a point to know and understand what the hell is in it and what it all means.  Even though understanding 18th century English can be a little challenging.  lol

My dad joined he Army Air Corps in 1950 and retired after 23 years of service, my mother was an Air Traffic Controller for the Air Force, a few of my exes are either active or prior service so I understand what you're saying.  I agree that if she is going to call someone out, she should be RIGHT!!!    My point was just that .. if she's going to call him out, have the information correct but politicians have a different duty to know and represent it than the media.  All the modern media cares about is their protection under the constitution ....... the rest of it is up to us to worry about.. per se!!  Glad you're here, keep coming back, we're annoying...ha ha ha and Thank you for doing what you do.
