..It's been well over a year now.

The time has come to put the rumors
to rest.
There seems to be a fair amount of people who have snooped around and
speculated that Defiant Pro Wrestling is in the process of opening a new
training center. Allow me to finally put all of those who were wondering at
ease.
It is indeed true. The wheels were in motion for a several months now.
Everything began to fall into place in the month of March.
Due to much of my personal belongings beng in "storage" in our former
facility, I was hesitant to make any formal announcement. It is my hope that
this announcement will have zero bearing on the future of before mentioned
belongings. Time will tell that tale.
I am very proud to formally announce that former DPW Champion, and
independent wrestling standout, Slyck Wagner Brown has signed on to be the
senior trainer for the new Defiant Academy.
Slyck is certainly a credit to this new endevour. He is a twelve year veteran
of this industry as well as a head trainer for WWE Hall of Fame inductee, Walter
"Killer" Kowalski.
Others that will comprise the training staff of Defiant Academy are the
following:
1. Nocturne
2. Big Jim Sullivan
3. Ariel
4. Chris
Mooch
5. Frankie Arion
6. Billy King
Others have also expressed
interest in lending a helping hand as well.
Our new facility is still undergoing improvements and transformations. Things
will be completed in due time. We are already able to utilize the facility as a
home base for our events. On that front, it is our short term goal to get back
to our schedule of running two or more events EVERY month.
Unlike our former facility, EVERYTHING has been cleared through the town.
There is also a ton of parking!
When all is said and done, Defiant Academy (Which will operate alongside the
newly formed JPI Sports Group), will have all of the following.
1. A brand new ring. (Relax, it'll be here in a day or so.)
2. A recording
studo with state of the art equipment for video production, promo training,
radio, etc.
3. A vast video library.
4. A snack bar that will have many
great healthy products available, such as Muscle Milk, protein bars, salads and
healthy sandwiches.
We are also in the process of securing our students a full gym membership
with tanning and personal trainers to aid in getting your body ready for the
physicality of professional wrestling. There will also be various free weights
and cardio equipment available on the premesis.
In closing, we hope that all of us at Defiant Pro Wrestling and Defiant
Academy can fill a void in New England for those who want to break into this
industry the right way, the respectful way.
