Current mood:  contemplative
I found this while researching for a media-art piece I'm working on.

From there an idea is progressing. So now I'm sending this bulletin as a test for some kind of collected and bundled set of information. Narrative collection similar to radio and TV shows.
YouTube is great - the "new television" in a way but I find the information jungle to wast and confusing. More or less it's still people who tell you, "watch this!" or "have you seen this?".
So the idea is not far from what DJ's do, a YouTube-Jockey if you may.
Is this idea something substancial or is this total stubid crap and cheesy double doing? It would be nice to get some comments on this from you guys in favor of my research. At least it's been fun stuff to do on a sunday.

The Family Curse

We want another set, please.  You're right -- it takes entirely too much time to wade through everything.

You Tube Jockey?

After the Ipod Battles, why not the YouTube-Jockey nights.

Ipod Battle had been started by Ninja Tune band TTC as nights where artist, in a boxing ring were playing songs from their iPods and the crowd were deciding who was winning. Each song being played for a minute.

The idea has been imported from France to Montreal and now, the iPod battle nights are big party in town. However, even if the crowd is fulfilled of music fans that see more than 100 shows a year, it is usually the people that played the most  old and cheesy songs (Mr.Vain, Barbie Girls) that finally win the competition.  Which is funny first, but ends up a bit lame.

The intelligent agents inside YouYube is really interesting (although very simple). I sometimes search a random word and see where I will end.

It is the best television in world. The ultimate alternative media content provider.

I will see you in Iceland! The night you guys are curating seems like happiness for my eyes and my ears.
