Below is the full live review from the latest issue of Metal Hammer: Exeter's IDIOM (8) are a dangerously infectious outfit and the cosy setting of the Bar Academy (host to tonights Hellfire festival) can barely contain their enthusiastic performance. Twitchy, focused and never short of energy, the band splice together various metallic influences to create a Franknstein's Monster of a sound, albeit on where the various body parts have been sewn together with the utmost care. Abrasive and often technical face-searing passages give way to Rage Against the Machine0indebted passages before flowing harmoniously into more emotive melodic parts with singer Matt's vocals leading the way throughout. With a hardcore vibe in their live approach, Idiom's throbbing, pulsating sound is a thrill to behold and the constantly twisting, turning approach to the songwriting definitively keeps things interesting. Thanks guys :-)
