ADVANCE PRESS RELEASE
JUST ANNOUNCED !
SEE ALL COMMENTS BELOW... REVLON RED have now fully completed the artwork and final mixing of their new forth-coming full length LP entitled "Something Old, New, Borrowed & Crude" produced by Dave Morse (Motley Crue/David Bowie) and Russ Hawthorne (Van Halen/Judas Priest) and will be heading in to the studio for the final stages of mastering in the month of October !
Consisting of vastly superior re-recorded versions of some of their earlier classics it also features newer-released and never-before-released cuts. And it also features not only the addition of a dynamic studio recording of one of the band's earliest live hit songs "Kick Or Be Kicked", but also includes an official tributary release of the song "Death Machine" (formerly and originally known as "Hollywood Death Machine") and co-written and recorded by vocalist Marky DeSade and former HATE JUNKIES guitarist Rustee Casanova during their two+ year stint working together under that moniker and just prior to Rustee's premature passing this year (R.I.P.). And as a bonus the album will also feature the band's excellent cover of the Hedwig and the Angry Inch song "Tear Me Down", one of Marky's, Rustee's and their very-close-friend-in-common Traci Michaelz (R.I.P.) all-time favorite songs, which also features the final studio-recorded guitar work of Rustee Casanova !
Both songs also spotlight bassist Eric "Sweet E", whom served in both bands as well, and they additionally feature the excellent talents of Hate Junkies' guitarist Corwin L.A.M.F. (also formerly of The Astrovamps, Christian Death and many other prominent L.A. bands) and outstanding drummer & guitarist Tim Tim !
With the combination of songs both old and new, heavy, sleazy, poppy and wild they complete what promises to be a ground breaking release for the band and both a true-to-form yet fresh and new modern approach to glam rock, glitter rock, junkie rock, glam-metal, glam punk and sleaze rock, if you will, in the Hollywood circuit from L.A.'s Last-Standing Underground Hollywood Glam Rock Band from the Original Sunset Strip Scene known as REVLON RED......

A Side Note From Vocalist/Frontman Marky DeSade:
In addition to my (largely personally) re-produced version of the recording of the song I co-wrote with Rustee entitled "Death Machine" (originally entitled "Hollywood Death Machine", as it's pre-mixed version first appeared on the HATE JUNKIES Myspace site), and to our recording together of the Hedwig and the Angry Inch cover tune entitled "Tear Me Down" (both of which are soon to be released in tribute to Rustee and the Hate Junkies on the forth-coming full length REVLON RED album), I also happen to retain a 2 track live recording of Rustee performing the preliminary guitar parts to what I believe may possibly be the last original song that he ever wrote for use in the HATE JUNKIES and which I co-wrote the lyrics with him for at the time, which is and was a song called "Punching the Clown".
This song was what I believe to be one of his final creative efforts for the band (although the lyrics are not featured)... or at least for that point in time, and which was heavily inspired by the works of the GLAMOUR PUNKS and by our close friend in common Traci Michaelz (and his various bands of past and present) similarly-influenced efforts at the time... and perhaps one day I will endeavor to finish, record, produce and release this song in his honor.... but only time will tell.

REVLON RED VIDEOS CURRENTLY IN PRODUCTION !
REVLON RED are also currently beginning the process of editing some new videos to coincide with a few of the songs on their forth-coming full length album entitled "Something Old, New, Borrowed & Crude" which the band hopes to be able to also include as a bonus CD-Rom/DVD compatible enhancement on the forth-coming album as well if they can be completed in time and if there is enough room on the disc to be able to do so. These videos were originally intended as bonus enhancements to be featured on the band's intended three new EP releases entitled "Introduction Scarcely Required (Volumes 1, 2 & 3)", with one distinct video appearing on each EP respectively, and issued as a follow-up to "The Singles" EP and as a forerunner to the release of their new forth-coming full length album. However, it would seem for the moment that the three new EP releases have been put on hold in the wake of their pending distribution deal for their new full length album, and therefore at this time it is unclear if the three EP's will ever even see the light of day... and only time will tell... hence the forth-coming videos are now being tentatively reassigned at this time for release on the full length album instead.
Currently the band is however offering "The Singles" EP, featuring their well-established hit song "Hollywood" along with three other equally poignant songs from the band as well, including the newer songs "Madman" and "Slow Suicide" and the classic "Break Me", and which also features a CD ROM/DVD compatible video enhancement of the latter song as well. "The Singles" EP, as well as a limited remaining number of the band's prior full length release entitled "Our Bubbleglam Era", can both be ordered directly from the band via their Myspace site at: www.myspace.com/revlonred
