.....but it's us, not you, I swear. To misquote what looks to be one of the shittiest movies ever, "We are sooooo into you!" We just get distracted by shiny objects and pretty girls, and the next thing ya know it's four months down the road.....
So things have been goin' pretty swimmingly around here. Even though the economy sucks, people still like to drink beer and shake their ass, so we're still working a bunch. We've played some pretty big gigs along the way lately. We had the opening slot at the Jerry Jeff Walker gig, which we're still beaming over. Here's a good shot of Eric and Jerry Jeff chillin' at Smith's Olde Bar:
Original gangster fo' sho'. It's like Dr. Dre to Snoop Dogg, passin' the baton. Nice.
We also did the big Independent Music World Series gig back in September. It was the contest to see who the best unsigned band in the Southeast. It was really fun, we played well, we then destroyed the open bar and checked all the other acts out. The band Act of Congress outta Birmingham wound up winning, which I feel is due in large part to their violin player being ridiculously good-looking. Even the straight ladies in the crowd were like, "She's pretty hot." Agreed. We told Stu to get a boob job before the show. We'd be a shoo-in then, right? But he had these excuses, y' know, "What'll my co-workers think?", and "I don't wanna be a woman." Pretty lame. We'd like to blame a boobless Stu for our not winning. It makes the rest of us feel better.
We got to play the big PirateFest out on Tybee Island in October. Really fun, everyone dresses up like Jack Sparrow and parades around the island acting pirate-y. Because of weather and various sound issues we wound up being the only band that played. Marshall Tucker was scheduled, but he wussed out. He was scared of the T' Wrecks. There were around 2,000 people there. Seriously. Check it:

Hearing 2,000 folks cheer for something you've just done is an indescribable feeling. It's hard to stay composed at times like those. I didn't even know that the video screen was up behind us until I saw this picture. Blissfully unaware! It's a nice way to go through life. There's so many of us on screen, in perpetuity! Apparently it was hat day in Train Wrecks-land. I love that shot.
We participated in a coupla of the Statts-Williams benefits. Those guys got senselessly shot after a local show. Shook up the community pretty badly. But the benefit at The Jinx was a truly special event, with lots of love and positivity floatin' 'round. Here's a coupla pics:

I have no idea what "Burn 1" means. People tell me it's kinda funny. I wouldn't know ...
We've also played some cool local shows. Hit The JINX a few times. Here's anotha pic:
Also hit up the Gram Parsons Tribute and Guitar Pull in Waycross. Got a coupla pics from there:
So yeah, things are a'ight 'round here. We've got a lot of cool shows comin' up. We're in Macon, Columbia, Charlotte, Atlanta, Hilton Head, Bluffton, Charleston, and of course Savannah, among other spots. Please check our tour dates to see where we're gonna be.
We're also workin' on the new record, gettin' the new songs together. Should be a stunnah! We got some good tunes comin' down the pipe. Stay tuned!
We love you all!
