Hi Everyone,
So sorry for my prolonged absence... I hate long, rambling blog entries so I'll give info in random bullet form today!
1) Regarding Big Brother: I haven't had much time to watch Big brother
this year but I enjoyed the few episodes I did get to see and it seems
like an exciting cast. Specifically, I did catch a recent episode where
an angry bald guy in a suit gave me a 'shout out'! (Note to self:
Flattery works... get this guy a job at one of the nightclubs in LA
where I am an investor).
2) Regarding messages regarding physical appearances: Thank you for all the updates on my looks but...
a) There is no need to let me know that I'm "really pale" - I'm well
aware I'm pale, I'm a dermatologist and I've had skin cancer...
b) There is no need to let me know that "I was better looking in 2001" - I'm sure you were better looking in 2001 too...
c) No need to let me know that there is a guy on Big Brother this year
who is "way better looking than me and will be a famous star as soon as
the show is over". I get these messages every year and I file them
under the heading, "Roddy", um I mean "Eric", um I mean "Nathan", um I
mean "Kayser", um I mean "Nick", um I mean... oh, forget it...
3) True story: I was recently offered a co-hosting position on a new
show for E! International filmed in Greece with Carmen Electra - I
declined their offer to participate however due to conflicting
engagements. Whew! Dodged a bullet with that one! After all, who really
wants to get paid to go to the beach with Carmen Electra, right? In a
weird twist of fate, a different former Big Brother house guest will be
filling in for me instead.
4) I will be doing a guest spot or to on a new show for E! called "That
Morning Show" that starts on September 14th and airs daily, Monday
through Friday, from 6:00 to 9:00 am. My role hasn't been finalized but
I may come on every few weeks with a medical segment. (I'd much rather
work with Mark Long in Irvine than with Carmen Electra in Greece
anyway).
5) I'll be back on QVC on September 26th (times pending). I'm so very
fortunate to be working with Neutrogena on this project. I'll likely be
on a number of times before the end of the year and we'll be launching
new products soon.
6) A word to the wise: Bring your own food if you fly on US Airways.
7) Yes, Mike Boogie has a new restaurant in Las Vegas. No, he and I are
not hosting a Big Brother finale party there. I have no idea how this
rumor got started. I have heard that someone is having a reality event
there in late September though. I have no idea how the city will be
able to survive the huge influx of fans rushing to see these past
reality contestants! The hotels may be sold out months in advance! The
lines for autographs will extend out for miles! This event may cure the
ailing economy!
Side note/True story: On a recent trip to Oklahoma with seven major
reality show winners, we signed more autographs at a Wal-Mart than we
did at a casino and a baseball game combined. At least they let me fire
the t-shirt launcher in to the stands at the game. Know your role!!!
8) I hung out with the winner of Big Brother 10 in Oklahoma, Dan
Gheesling. A number of people told me he was a great guy... and they
were 100% correct! I'm picking Dan as my front runner for BB All Stars
II which is currently scheduled to take place in the summer of 2011.
9) Yes, I went to water park with Theo Von and Charlie O'Connell and went on every slide... twice! Pictures pending!
10) Lastly, best yogurt in LA: Menchies!
Love,
Dr. WILL
